Out of interest, can the Carbon exhaust tips be retrofitted as I’ve never seen them sold separately...even as an aftermarket version?

Lovely thread! Anyone mentioned an Alfa 4c? Getting closer to 30k again now.... Doesn’t someone on here have one?

Yup, I mentioned the 4C somewhere here recently and really like the concept. Never driven one though. They should be under £30k already in my opinion.

Are they tons to insure because of the carbon tub?

If they were 25k I'd be tempted.

There not good to drive on UK type roads without mods to the front suspension, even then there still not acceptable!
If your lucky 30k might buy you a nice second hand 500 hp+ Giulia QV, there on another planet regards to handling comfort and performance!

Had a deposit down on one but then as the price started to rise and detail came out I took it back. I drove one and something just didn't feel right for me. There was a real estate lack of feeling from its steering which on a car like this was really off putting especially pushing on. It was like there was so many good bits about the car but no one decided make them all work together. For me a great looking car but sadly a missed opportunity by Alfa. An almost car which their history is littered with. My old GTV V6 was more fun....The Spyder is better by all accounts as they they changed the steering, suspension and weight distribution but the car is still skittish over UK roads..Also the Spyder got rid of those aweful front lights so to me looks much better....If you want a car like this buy a Lotus ...as they know how to make a car like this. You can now get a V6 Exige for the same money and that's a weapon of a car. I know which one I would go for.....

I love Alfa but the Exige would get the nod between the two.

I’ve never read a good review of the 4C. I‘ve even spoken to dealers with them for sale that have warned me off. Shame, as they look the part.

Beautiful but flawed. Not my thing, but as @rockits says, I’m getting too old for sports cars ;)

I’d have an Exige, Elise, Caterham, Zenos, Cayman, or even an S2000 over one.

Exiges' are just mad and brilliant. When I had my 340R I found it very underwhelming - it was a rushed vanity project and I made the mistake of falling for it and getting one - but a drive in a 180PS Exige was always an extreme and rewarding journey.

Agree, the Exige is just a great bit of kit no matter what one you go for....I had a MRK1 and Toyota one and that 180bhp in the Toyota was more than enough. That kick when the 2nd cam came on line was just addictive...…...MRK 1 was an event on every journey...So raw....

Much as I have heard about them - would need to be cheaper to tempt me but with my dodgy knee might have to be an alternative to the Lotus Elise I have....

@Crofty has a 4C. He's a fan. Although there isn't a lot of room in them. Actually isn't a lot of anything in them.
Yes I am a fan, flawed yes but I just love driving it, gets way more attention than much more expensive metal. Definite hand-full on uk roads, has some Alfa works bits fitted so better now but still ‘lively’ on poor roads...or good ones for that matter. They extracted some more horses too
I would think if the drop below 30k they would be a good buy as a toy.
Insurance is £240 fully comp.
It’s a keeper for me, but needs a more practical stable mate....waiting for the QF to drop below 30!....quite a way

As above the 4C is so close but just miss the point, Alfa Workshop tweaks can make it much better but for half the price you can have a Cayman S which in nearly all cases will perform better

Can people stop posting this. It's just what I want.

But I need two work jobs to align in the next 10 days to enable me to make an enquiry.

If everything lines up I'll be taking a look

With the day I've had, this is as far away from me buying as it could possibly be! :(

Back to looking at Porsche Boxsters :worried1:
