Vanquish (Lightweight Seats - think a la MC-Victory - only 9 made - this was Aston's own car once registered V12 AML)

Ah yes, remember you had that with the two seats. Just stunning and I bet that shifted. Is thAt Dick Lovett....I see one of the 9 with two seats is for sale...Its a carbon white edition and I think it's the same car that was tested here.......Its been dropping in price over the months and currently at 82k.....I rather like this XCAR chap.....

Just prefect. Still the best looking and perfectly formed car on the road even after all these years. ...Well it is for me.....Is that Lightening Silver.....One of my favourite colours as well....Thanks for sharing.

Yes Lightning Silver, V8S with all the carbon bits. And yes Aston Martin Bristol (Dick Lovett)

Such a great colour in the sunlight. A Vantage N420 has just come up for sale on AT in lightening silver for £36995 with I think 24k on the clock. Looks lovely and the cheapest I've seen with those miles and what looks like full history.

Super photos and another fantastic watch. A Cloisonne dial would be something very special, it looks very well done. I have heard of Laurent Ferrier but never seen any watches before.

Here is my more run of the mill Master Geographic. Still pretty special for me; like my Maserati I waited quite a few years between trying one and buying one.

Now that is a work of art

Nice. My wife has one, it's never kept time but that's part of the charm! As they say, if you want it to work, get a Casio.

lol - my wife also has a Cartier (not sure which one - one of the Tanks I think) and is always complaining that it loses time despite regular servicing

My Omega Seamaster is the best watch I have ever had still looks new and worn daily for 5 years.
I take it off when spannering otherwise on my wrist 24/7.

Whilst looking for those cufflink I came across an old Seiko (I don't 'do' watches) but any local to Surrey recommendations on restoration/repair?

I'm still looking, but due to the general global situation, budget will be very modest, seen a few Tag F1's I quite like, and this has also caught my eye. Would an automatic be a mistake for me? it will be worn pretty infrequently, so would I be better going for quartz?

'Better' is a bit arbitrary. There's arguments for and against keeping your watch on a winder. Personally I like the ability to pick a watch up and strap it on without having to wind or set it.
Personally I don't thin the argument against keeping it in a winder (i.e. it will wear out faster) is particularly valid. It'll need servicing but if you let it stop and stand for extended periods it might get 'stuck')
As for quartz, it'll keep going, flattening the battery, unless you pull the crown out in which case it'll stop and might get 'stuck'

For my money I prefer automatics, but both my Breitlings are quartz and I love them both. <shrug>

I have a Christopher Ward C8 Pilot. It's a nice enough watch. Very good value. It's not in the same league as a Tag, IMHO

Then there's this, https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Maserati-R8871134003-Mens-GT-Chronograph-Wristwatch/264056056831?ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649 for the obvious reason, but are they any good? or are you just getting something very naff dressed up because of the Maser connection?

I'd buy one. They are fun. @Zep has one. Again, nothing like a Tag and not really as good as the CW IMHO

It looks like you're looking at about £750 for a decent Tag from Wachfinder. That's putting you in new CW territory.

Watch of the Week for me is Breitling for Bentley Tourbillon. Just the thing for starting the Arnage today after a couple of months of inactivity on its CTEK. Just sitting in the back and smelling the leather is a joy! 69997
