Very lovely. I had a rose gold one for a little while, absolutely loved it to look at, but just didn’t like it on me. I have tried a few yellow and rose gold watches over the years and none have lasted very long. Given up on them now. Stainless steel or white gold all the way

That's rather lovely

Indeed superb details.

As for enamel dial watches both plain and cloisonne, I love them. The Lange PLM with the fusee chain in the earlier photo has a three piece enamel dial which is a superb piece of work.

Great watch the JLC Master Geo

You have given me a gratuitous photo opportunity but it also reminds me of the time we could jump in the car and drive to Europe :)

Here is me (or my car at the time at least) at the atelier in Geneva of one Laurent Ferrier (Google him he is a seriously cool guy, worked at Patek and and drove at Le Mans in 1979 coming third, the same year Paul Newman was second overall. He then started his own workshop which is more or less in the shadow of Patek). I visited in 2016 and specified my Laurent Ferrier Galet Traveller watch (basically a dual time) with cloissonne dial. Not to everyone's taste I am sure but I love it and it is extremely easy to use and read and even sorts out the date past midnight back and forwards when setting the dual time zone. The waiting list for a Patek 5131 World Time makes it a pointless exercise and to sit with the LF team (and have lunch of course) and have this specified and then made was great (though it was not an exclusive design, other than a little touch inside just for me, they do only manufacture around 100-150 watches per annum). EDIT: This is Laurent Ferrier in the pictures, not me :)

It was a great car and a great experience (apart from having my licence removed from me later on in France but that is another story for another day :)

I swapped the Vantage for the Vanquish which is also a great car but I missed the raw appeal of the Vantage and the Sportshift gearbox. Though a thread drift this is relevant as it led me to finally scratching the Maserati itch and got me into a Gransport, so I had a car with an automated manual CC box, similar to the Aston Sportshift. So now I have both (having migrated from the original Gransport to MC-V along the way). Miss that Vantage though as I also got to specify that at the factory AND later go back and watch it being built. AMAZING!

Super photos and another fantastic watch. A Cloisonne dial would be something very special, it looks very well done. I have heard of Laurent Ferrier but never seen any watches before.

Here is my more run of the mill Master Geographic. Still pretty special for me; like my Maserati I waited quite a few years between trying one and buying one.

My first Breitling and my everyday watch since 2000.

My dress watch - sadly not used as much as I’d like!!! Just love the sapphire crown.
69934
Before I owned a real one!!! Generally only gets used if the colt ocean is being serviced.
69935
The truly extravagant purchase. Limited edition 25/25 Jaguar Breitling with a Jaguar engraved on the back and 6 Sqn motto. Bought last year through a colleague who is friends with the jeweller who does all the special edition Breitlings.

Always quite fancied an Omega Seamaster however I could never justify it as it’s so similar to the Colt Ocean.
And not forgetting their house that they share with the cuff links and studs.
69936
In a rare moment of clarity and self awareness I decided that I shouldn’t get a larger box as I would simply use it as an excuse to buy more.

Do like a Cartier. Always have my eyes open for a Panthere to match Mrs C's

That Jaguar Breitling. What model is it? Aerospace I guess? Must be quite old, or they removed the certification when they did the custom work.

Tag fan? I'm struggling to think of reasons to not buy a Monaco (other than cost) but I have two Tags already.

C
There are no reasons, the original Monaco still one of the most iconic watches out there IMO, always loved them ever since seeing Mr McQ wearing it on his right wrist (normally a no no for me, but original was designed for right hand wear) and as far as buys go, it is up there with all my fav cars I've had as a purchase I remain happy with.........so get it bought! ;)

Did you fly Jags, or do you just like the aircraft? I see a set of 41 Sqn links in there; a good mate of mine flew Jags on 41.

Certainly am. Bought my first one in France in the days of French Francs, and haven't looked back. Thinking of getting a 'Connected' one next.

Yeah. I want (sort of) a B5. But it'll be obsolete in 5 years. At most

Tag even planned it in, didn't they? When the updates stop you can turn it into a Carerra?

We're you a Jag pilot by any chance? You may recognise these on a set of cufflinks that I have... 69941

If you have any more pictures of the Vantage and Vanquish I would love to see them.......
