Think they got the timing a bit wrong. 3200 was pior to Ferarri wasn't it?. They only came in at the end of the 3200 run didn't they?

No, they were involved in the late 90's. They were involved partly with the 3200, but agreed more with the 4200.

Definitely got the details wrong; no Ferrari engine in the 3200GT, which remains the latest Maserati with an "in-house" produced engine.

I never said they had anything to do with the engine. But quality and build techniques from Ferrari were utilised, and Luca di Montezemolo was President from 97.

No, you didn't, and it was certainly not my intention to suggest that either; but, the article did: "...the first product of which was the 3200 GT: a Giugiaro-designed coupé fitted with a Ferrari engine."

Ah, yes I agree with you, that is certainly not the case.
They did utilise some Ferrari check methods though as I remember seeing lots of yellow blobs of paint on nuts etc. on my 3200, I think that was one of their working practices.
