I know that it’s very worrying times for all concerned but I have to go to hospital to do my treatment and the hospitals locally are all on closed doors due to infections, really worrying how I can do my treatment as safe as possible ...sorry if it’s babbling on but needed to get it out my head somewhere ...

Hey Dman, I know what you’re going through I was at the doctors last week and fortunately it was deserted however I’m going to have to go back this week and likely be referred to a consultant in a hospital. Like you I’m concerned not only about Covid-19 but also it’s effect on the treatment of other possibly fatal conditions.

I hope you can speak to your hospital and perhaps they can give you some reassurance or come up with a treatment regime that suits the times.

You should call for advice first thing Monday morning. It’s a very worrying time for all, but I really feel for you if you have existing medical problems. There isn’t great guidance at the moment - but most hospitals are cancelling any elective surgeries and non life saving treatments. If you do go in, wear a mask if you can, take alcohol hand gel and wash your hands before and after touching anything - and stay 2 m away from anyone non essential!

Hello mate
My late wife had a similar ailment
It was called something like Hypergammaglobularanemia.
Anyway she had no white blood cells too and was therefore prone to colds flu etc. A cough for me was a major concern for her. She had weekly infusions at the local hospital of white blood cells which topped her up. An alternative was offered for self injection at home into the tummy maybe 3 x a day. You could see if this is an option. We did not try it
At the time it was a rare infliction and she was one of eight in the country.
BTW she did not die from this ailment as it was manageable
pm me any time or phone etc.................. best wishes

Sorry to hear of your problems getting treatment

Are you able to source antiseptic gel , M&S had some small 50ml bottles last time I was in there, if you haven't got any I could go in to see if they still have any and post them to you , they'll only let me have 2 if they have got any though.
