Currently being advertised on TV.
Build your own Ferrari F40
All you have to do is buy the magasine 100 times at £8.99 (although the firsrt one surprisingly is only £2.99).
That, by my maths, is £893 all in.
Bargain!! Who does this?

I've got a bond DB5 in the attic , gave a guy £200 , he'd paid £1000 for it.

Most of the magazines are still sealed with the parts in, when I asked why he kept buying them if he wasn't building it he said, they just kept coming in the post

Not if you cancel the ******* direct debit they don't

This is funny! Subscribe and get 7 free gifts though... if you like them then you may be able to cancel your subscription.

One of the few gifts is a whole free issue, so that brings the overall cost down substantially to £884 which may make it worthwhile, particularly as the finished model gets engine sounds.

Of course, the final bit of amazing value is that, for only £1 extra per issue, you can get the stand and presentation case.

£984!!!

Model cars are big business, especially in scales like 1/8, I'm not saying this is a particularly good model or indeed value for money but go and try to find another manufacturer, I suggest you start with Amalgam @£2500+........god you lot are money orientated aren't ya, what about building the thing? Nope , guess everything comes off a shelf in your world..

These magazine models are no where near the quality as the ones you buy off the shelf...Stuff like Sparks and Minichamps are no where near £800 and great models. This is a rip off and try and sell for over £100 let along £800 when done ...it will not happen as collectors want named brands when buying. Nice idea to build your own though.....If you don't get out much that is...

For £250 or so, buy a non-running kawasaki, move house twice, change jobs once and after 5 years of fiddling around stripping, cleaning and rebuilding it up, you've spent £300 and still have a non-runner.

At least it's 12 inches to the foot scale...

I actually liked into this. Crazy money though, it’s big though like 50cm long.

Pocher models are good

In 1/8 scale? I think not , horses for courses and all that, you are right in the likes of Minichamps being better quality, then again depends how you build it! even then a 1/12 MC will be £500+ , I have an MC 1/18 xj13 that's just a beauty.
