If you go on AV Forums. Plenty of people have built there own “shed” cinema rooms. This advice comes with a wallet emptying warning though. Some are professional install quality builds.

Got a nice setup upstairs. We don't do sheds :D

Have a look C, some aren’t really sheds; and plenty have dedicated cinema rooms in their houses. I currently have an outside room which is begging for exploitation. Wife wants it to be a party\ bar room tho. In my old cinema “shed” with the insulation, soundproofing, etc etc, with 6 people in it and all the gear on I didn’t need a heater on....I’d put underfloor heating in too, for winter. Never used it other than testing it.

I bought an electric screen from AV forums, he had 2 offers , mine was £40 higher than the guy collecting but had to be posted
When I got it it must've taken him 2 hours to pack it , he'd got the centre from a roll of carpet but it wasn't wide enough so he'd cut the 2.5m length then wrapped it in bubble wrap then shrink wrapped it, then foam backed paper on the outside and a lot of tape.
The second it wouldn't go in the tube I'd have been on the phone to the other guy.

Downloaded Ad Astra, started watching, fell asleep, boring.....
I saw that at the cinema , came close to leaving but hoped it would improve , it didn't

Brad Pitt was brilliant in Fury , just ignore the ending , it was like the director got bored and decided to change it into a cartoon

I am off to see LeMans66 tonight at The Odyssey, St Albans, a revamped 1930’s delight with proper comfy seats. My preference would have been The Rex in Berkhamsted, which is also a 1930’s wonder with exec chairs and tables, bar service and cheese and biscuits served at you table. Can’t wait - wife is driving so a few beers can be sunk !
Well I really enjoyed the film and even Mrs Scaf didn’t make too much of a fuss about coming.
A bit of a highlight was that former British Racing Driver Robin Donovan was at the cinema and spoke for 10mins before the film on his experience of competing in the 24 LeMans 14 times - amazing achievement!

The Wife - Glenn Close, Jonathan Price, Christian Slater. On Netflix. Exceptional. Extraordinary. Probably something else beginning with E. We loved it.

'Rosie', about the accommodation crisis in Dublin, was ok, standard fare. Looking forward to Loach's 'Sorry We Missed You', love his (and Mike Leigh's) stuff, though 'I, Daniel Blake' was a bit diurnal...

Might rewatch Primer from 2004, time travel movie with no pseudo-science in it....

Here's a handy graphic that explains the paths of Abe and Aaron and their conclusions...
