Agree, best looking Ferrari for a generation. At £120kish, and if they build enough of them, perhaps finally a Ferrari that people might actually buy to drive..........
Agree. But that’s not the point of Ferrari surely?

I certainly like the look of that. Can't see the point of making it a 2+2 though as the back seats will be pointless and right on top of the rear axle.

I can't see why they need to make a £120k car though......maybe £150k yes. It is devaluing their silly premium priced cars but people are paying it model otherwise.

I can't see Ferrari selling a Portofino at nearly £200k and then this at £120k.. Id be surprised if this even starts at less than £150k
Agree- it will hit FF prices and Portofino for sure. They are already plummeting as it is

Silver doesn't do it for me on the Roma, a dark metallic would suit.

In the meantime Santa can I please have this (wifey was most impressed at it matched the handbag she was carrying when we saw it yesterday):

Think it is stunning and would love a Maserati to look like that. Trouble is in the wider lose FCA empire they realise that Ferrari can charge more for these things. Think is with a Maserati badge and lower pricing they could sell, say, five times the units...that's why the Cali should have stayed as a Maser.

Perhaps Ferrari’s strategy to compete with Maserati’s long overdue sports coupe before it’s even launched.....

Really...What is the point if not to be driven...The only reason prices of these type cars hold firm is because no one drives them so they have hardly any miles in them.....I really do not see the point of spending all that money and owning any car if all you do is put it in the garage and bring it our on sunny days. What a waste......if owners are worried that if they put miles on the value will drop put your money into one thing else. Buy and drive I say......This car is just the best looking car they have put out for years and years.....Just simple in design....a nod to past Ferrari...It just ain't trying too hard which most of their range seems to be doing. Don't get me wrong great cars fast and handle and all that.

I didn’t say I agreed with it. It’s a business model that has seemed to work so far. I think the more ‘aspirational’ it is, the better for a certain market. I think Maserati did a gamble with the Ghibli. It doesn’t seem like it worked. I am sure it put off some customers from the brand. In combination with not bringing out a new halo sports coupe - that compounded the problem. If ferrari bought out a 120k ‘ new’ car- it would definitely take a slice from the 911 market (surely their aim), and they would lose a smaller slice who would prefer to get a Lamborghini which would be relatively more exclusive- unless they bring out a budget model.
On another note - as a follow up to the email - I got a letter from dick lovetts saying they had ceased to support Maserati due to the success of the Ferrari brand and the need to expand on the premises.

For a Ferrari, it's a bit generic isn't it? Aston front end, Merc side, Jag rear.

Seems like something churned out to give the poorer punters something to spend some cash on, rather than ground breaking passion from Ferrari.

Now, if it was wearing a Trident... then it would be a different matter altogether as it would be a huge step forward from the antiquated GT

never really been a fan of modern ferarris apart from the older classic ones such as dinos, 308, 328, 288, etc but this Roma does stir something in me, love the flowing design/look all the way round, seems more hunkered down and agressive

The badge looks out of place- definitely should have been a Maserati- and would have been a great replacement for the GT. Nice interior. Will sell like hot cakes at circa 120k, make a lot of previous Porsche owners happy and **** off the red trousers wearing brigade. If they didn’t like the California at 200k list with options...

Funny how a badge makes all the difference!

Yup. Looks like they took the Alfieri design and mashed up a concept with a bit of Aston Vantage, F-Type and stretched S coupe type sides. Some of the images look like bad renders and I'm surprised they put them into the public eye like that. It may (if it actually makes production) start at a reasonable price but with a few must have options it will become expensive easily.

And yes, it does look more Maserati in some ways and like the California, looks to have the "wrong" badge on it.

I initially thought - WOW!

But then looking at the launch video, it just looks so much like an Aston.
