...because rocking horse poo sometimes does come up :)
Looks like the rocking horse has overdone the oat meal...

Not used this site before and can't tell if you would have usual eBay protections, etc. I would think not.
Not a complete set and maybe a distance purchase isn't what you're looking for:

or, with a stock image:

Or, unsold at Bonhams recently:

There's also a Salvatore Ferragamo GT set and another 3200/4200 (?) set advertised.

How the h*ll did you find that lot?

There was a Salvatore Ferragamo GT set on eBay UK I was watching, no bids over about 2 or 3 months, dropped his price to around £1,900 if I remember correctly, still too rich for my blood (or worth the beating from the boss)..

Stumbled across a photo of the QP5 set and then …. curiosity.
They look fabulous, whereas imho, the Ferragamo set with red lining, looks vaguely "Weimar-ish".
I saw the GT set on eBay here. Looked in great condition but, iirc, the seller didn't have any feedback.

999 Euros for the 3 big cases isn’t a crazy price. The full set consisted of those, plus a smaller wheelie case and a square vanity case, at about 4000 Euros originally. If you’re genuinely interested, I have a friend in Germany that could contact the seller on your behalf.

But let me say this. I have the full set, and they are still unused, in the attic, in their bags. So I‘d classify them more in the “things I like to own” category, rather than the “things I actually use” one.

Heh. When I borrowed the 550 Maranello for the feature we did this year it had matched luggage. It was absolutely gorgeous and completely unused. The leather was something else and it smelled great.

Not sure I’d use them if I was lucky enough to have both...

The thing is, who uses luggage that doesn't have wheels these days?
Unless you have your man to fetch and carry for you, but then you'd either be driving him around, for the convenience, or vice versa which would rather negate the joy of ownership!

Or you are both driver and factotum, wafting her ladyship around that is!

for roadtrips, not a problem. Porter at the hotels and on arrival (if it's not a hotel), you shouldn't have problems getting a few suitcases out of the boot! We have a set of Swaine Adeneys (including a box frame case), too valuable to use on commercial travel but the bespoke 32" and the 28" stack perfectly in the QP with room around the sides.

I have a set in my GS. look good, but not very large. They are a mix of leather and fabric. Paid less than this set but glad I have them.

Worth more than the car!

Yes that’s the one.. Wouldn’t of been a problem as it was cash on collection in London (easy for me), unfortunately however I think the boss would of torn my head off with a wedding to pay for in December..

I picked up some tan Maserati luggage for the Ghibli from Germany over a decade ago for about a grand and we use it every time we go away. It’s lovely quality. The Ghibli swallows it whole and the QP leaves just a little room to bring back wine and pate. There’s a suitcase for us, one for the kids and the suit bag if we’re taking posh clothes. The best are the two square boxy shaped bags - one for shoes with little insert bags and the other usually takes wash-bags. Maserati is such an ace brand, it didn’t feel wrong using it in our old 456 either. Not sure it’d work the other way round though?

Is it bad that I had to look up the word 'factotum'??

I think I'll hang on for a 'complete' set to come up for sale in the UK (at the right price, of course), I don't think I should hold my breath.

I'm sure if someone got the patterns they could be knocked up for about £200, £80 after Brexit when BJ and JRM remove workers rights and we have our own British sweatshops in the the UK exploiting genuine British people who want to work for 12p an hour.
