Now sold

Gathering all of the information for this ad has brought back a flood of incredible memories during my ownership of this outstanding car over the past 7 years and 27k miles – close friendships made, countries visited, events attended, money raised, noise generated, and fun enjoyed!

The car is well-known to many within the SportsMaserati family, wider Maserati circles and has even been featured in EVO magazine. It is one of only three UK GranSports painted this colour; this car has a very high and unique specification compared to the other two.

SUMMARY:
A striking, rare, highly-equipped GranSport with sought-after upgrades which has been cherished with no expense spared. In outstanding condition with excellent provenance, this car has been prepared for sale to an extremely high standard – professionally detailed exterior and interior, wheels refurbished in the correct colour, bodywork and wheels have been ceramic coated. Matching Goodyear Asymmetric 2 tyres have excellent tread, brake discs and pads have been recently renewed and clutch wear is minimal.

THE CAR:

Registered September 27th 2005 - benefits from lower VED, currently £325 p/a
55 plate – now wearing the original registration number, cherished number fitted throughout my ownership.
68,050 miles – genuine, unaltered and supported by service/MOT/repair documentation.
Comprehensive service history – stamped service book and a thick (yellow!) file of invoices.
Clutch wear 9.51% at 65,547 miles.
MOT expires in November – I will gladly put the car through a fresh MOT if required.
2 keys – new rubber fob buttons on both.

THE SPEC & OPTIONAL EXTRAS:

Exterior

Giallo Granturismo
Grigio Mercury wheels – freshly professionally refurbished
Xenon headlights with washer jets
Rear parking sensors
Yellow brake calipers
Black grilles
Seatta badges
61306

61309

Interior
Full black leather interior with yellow piping
Heated front seats with driver memory settings
Black leather headliner
Carbon fibre door panel trim
Cruise control
Electrochromic rear view mirror
Aluminium passenger footrest
Fitted fire extinguisher
61307
61310
61311
61312

THE UPGRADES:

Euro-spec exhaust manifolds
Larini 200-cell sports cats
Larini H-pipe
Larini valved rear exhaust boxes
ECU remap
BMC performance air filter element
Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale gearbox software
Hill Engineering 15mm hub centric aluminium wheel spacers
Stainless steel +15mm wheel bolts
Kenwood Bluetooth DAB head unit
Focal component door speakers
Focal subwoofer in custom-made enclosure situated in spare wheel well
Genesis amplifier to power subwoofer

The mileage may certainly put some prospective buyers off. The perception that sub-50k mile cars are the only ones worth anything for reasons ranging from residual values to potential reliability and likely future repair costs is not something I agree with. These cars should be bought on condition and provenance. My car has been used and thoroughly enjoyed; I have never owned another car for even half this time. The next owner of this car can take comfort that many/most of the common GranSport faults have already been addressed and remedied with no regard to cost using OEM Maserati parts unless stated otherwise. I’ve replaced:

All 4 lambda sensors – Bosch
Power steering cooler – Autoshield upgraded design
Air conditioning pump – Bosch
Oil pipe from oil tank to oil pump
Throttle pedal potentiometer
Knock sensors
Front timing chain cover gasket
Oil pipe accumulator

Serious enquiries via PM please. Viewing is welcome (socially-distanced until Boris allows otherwise!) as is a full independent inspection of the car at a mutually agreeable time and location, at the prospective buyer’s cost. The car is always garaged and kept on a trickle charger at my home address in Chorleywood, Hertfordshire.

More photographs can be made available upon request.

Thank you for reading this far!

I'm mileage-conscious, but if I was in the market for a GranSport the banana would be high on my list. It is a stunning car and deserves a good home with a caring owner.

Totally agree she looks and sounds amazing and certainly has done some amazing trips and Charity work.
I don't think she will be available for long.
Hope the Bentley gives you as much pleasure Mark.

That is just stunning. I remember arriving at Brands Hatch Festival Italia a couple of years ago, following this car and it sounds just sublime. It's the only car I have been able to hear over my own!

What a great opportunity for someone to buy a unique car at a very reasonable price, good luck with the sale

Looks great, remember you giving me a lap at the Bruntingthorpe fund raiser in 2014.
Certainly goes well and felt quicker than what was my then stock GS.

I love this car!

if only I had the funds available I’d have it in a heartbeat. Whoever buys it will have the most iconic Gransport in the country.

It was done through a contact in the trade. Not generally available.

It's a fantastic upgrade, makes the gear changes so much sharper.

No worries MAF, so no chance of getting this done with a group of say 5 SM'ers?
