Now, I'm from Lancashire, but I live in Ireland, and now there's three of us here all craving Holland's Steak Pudding (or the new Minced beef and onion ones).

I'm thinking of shipping a few packs over but can't allow them to defrost. West Yorks, Holyhead, Dubs, Northside. Any ideas re a 12v feed freezer that's not £389?

Get an ice cream tub - insert pie - fill with water -Freeze - put in cool box and it will take days to defrost !
Explain in detail, bear in mind I'm looking at about 6/8 packs of 4 puddings, quite a cubic footage. Freeze in chest freezer?

Ah Hollands in Baxenden... no cats or dogs for miles around.

Love their stake puddings.

Had the best hand painted fleet when I was a lad... probably done in a wrap now.

The principle is simple freeze them in a block of ice (Chest Freezer) then insulate ice block in waterproof container.
However with the quantity you are taking about it may not be practical.

Well I could rework the quants. I need four Miced Beef and Onion, mate needs four Steak and Kidney's. so two pack of four...

Would be an 8 hour trip or so?

They are £3 for four from Tesco. Minimum delivery order is £25 so get 9 packs, job done.
Or
I'm off up north next weekend, can pick up a selection, if anyone is flying out of Gatwick the following week to Dublin, I'm sure the Boltonian will cook you a dinner...

Fool!!

Irish folks, despite being almost British, have no concept of:

  1. Gravy
  2. Curries with any hint of spiciness
  3. Pies, puddings or pasties
  4. Proper battered fish from the chippy ('Chipper' in Ireland and they even microwave it, fooooking ****!!!)
  5. Coronation Street

To be fair here's a list of the cool things about Ireland...

End of List...

There are some questions here. What is the actual size of the package? What are you transporting them in? (A Maserati boot with hot exhausts below doesn’t seem ideal)

Any insulated box with plenty of ice (or a block of dry ice, that would deal with almost any eventuality) would do it, but the method is rather crucial.

£300 but bear in mind the actual cost is the difference between buying and selling , find one now the camping season is winding downthen sell in the spring when it picks up, cost could be nothing.

Though if I had that in my car full of pies I'd be expecting a rubber glove search at customs
