Morning all, retirement? What is this witchcraft you speak of???
Good Morning all from the lovely Saintes got the drive back to Laval and also think what work I want to do.
Well have a think is a start.
I’m going to refer to you as Boaty McBoatface from now on.Working from home today but I will be giving the GTS a clean in preparation for driving to Lymington tomorrow for our Company Regatta.
Good morning, you deviant band of scoundrels. Today I am a commuter. Yeuch! I don't intend to make a habit of it (There's probably a nun pun in there somewhere).
Happy Tueasday, everyone.
I had camplybactor about 30 years ago - they took a bit of time to sort it out and about 10 days later I had an auto-immune reaction as a result - Reuters disease - vile. Was off work for about four months and took over a couple of years to completely clear. But I am sure that won't happen to you.Morning all.
Back 'in the room' so to speak after an eventful couple of weeks.
The short version is as follows:-
On the Wednesday after the bank holiday I was rushed to hospital with suspected meningitis and put on a concoction of drugs to ease both the excruciating pain in my head and the counteract the 'bacteria'.
On the Thursday I had 4 attempts at a lumbar puncture, (3 by a doctor who clearly had no idea what he was doing, resulting in even more pain, before an anaesthetist did it perfectly.
Anyway after 6 days of this it turns out that fortunately I didn't have meningitis, however, I did have a severe case of food poisoning, something called camplybactor (something like that) which apparently kills about 50 people in the UK each year.
As I'm not dead, I guess I got off lightly after spending all that time in hospital.
As I was in hospital for that length of time it also meant that I couldn't go on holiday so that was cancelled, although we did manage a short weekend break over the weekend.
Where I promptly lost my phone after it fell out my pocket and into a river. Joy.
Anyway, am now back in work with a gazillion emails to catch up on.
