Nothing unusual there I bought the Ferrari 456 blind back in 2012.
Did the same this year with the Boxster that I know have in France bought from Silverstone and currently in San Sebastian.
If there is good communication and a vibe it works out.

LOL....I can't imagine going through the old dating game now!

I've bought a few blind with most working out but a few with issues.

As you say you get a feel for a situation or person. I'm a decent honest citizen so he should be OK

Not sure I'd buy a 456 blind now unless it was plenty cheap enough.

Nice one, I shall keep an eye out for it. I also bought my AC blind, a flight to Gatwick and a 520 mile drive home, worked out well :)

Quick update on the 4200.

I'm a little perturbed by the guy that agreed to buy the 4200 on Sat night that I haven't received a deposit from that won't respond to my calls or messages now. Oh well, lots of time wasters out there unfortunately so will move on.

Thinking about it now maybe it isn't a good idea to make a.deal with someone on a Sat night! !!!

So back available for sale at the moment but might be short lived. I need to decide today if I'll take a indy dealers Vantage and use the 4200 and TVR in part ex. The deal is good and fair but not sure about the Vantage colour. But of thinking needed this morning

What is the Vantage colour?

Edit: I see from another thread dealer is describing it as 'Jet Black with metallic flake' - well Jet Black is actually the most flat black of Aston's 50 shades of black. Most common is Onyx Black as that is the safe dealer spec especially with black interior with silver piping, but here is a list of the most you will find:

Onyx Black has Silver flakes
Storm Black has Red flakes
Carbon Black has Blue flakes
Ultramarine Black (special colour) looks flat black sometimes and metallic Blue other times
Jet Black is plain black

Thanks for that John. Just getting the VIN to check. I understood Jet Black to always be a flat/solid shiny non-metallic black on any cars. I read that bit above on a forum as well. However have seen some later Aston ads described as Jet Black metallic so all a bit confusing and non-conclusive at the moment.

The seller definitely said it has fleck in it and pings in the sunlight. Maybe he has the colour name wrong. Definitely looks metallic to me but I'm over 4 hours away so can;t really see until I see it.

It the AM is black I would steer clear, you will constantly be cleaning it. :(

I do agree and prefer the mid to dark grey metallic but that seems the most common. Especially with the later clear rear lights....mmmm.

I am not really a fan of black cars per se but have 3 of them! Technically the XJ-L SS is Stratus Grey but is almost black. I don't mind a metallic black but not sure I could compromise to a solid black.

Another development on the 4200! Just had a call from a chap in Henley. He is on his way shortly and coming to look at it about 1pm. Talk about an up and down journey. Holding the Aston guy off until later today but he is sending over the VIN so I can look to confirm the exact colour. Just like being at work juggling stuff :)
