Lovely car and I have been thinking if it could make sense. I look at a few at Festival Italia yesterday with my son. One thing I hadn't noticed so much is the proportions on some Ferrari's to others. I am guessing as the engine is so big and sits back that that front wheels need to move forward. No idea just gassing. It made it look very ungaionly from the side profile as the wheel was very far forward and made the weelkbase massive. Just made the proportions look a little odd.

The 550 & 575 in comparison seemed much more pleasing. From top to bottom they are 550, 575, 612.

Out of all 3 that I looked at yesterday the 550 seemed the best. I just couldn't get my eyes to love the 612. The 360 still looked good as well.

this suggests there aren't any buyers fees. Either way at £46k its very tempting. Turns out I know a previous owner.
Indeed, looks like it, not seen this format before. Buyer pays 5% deposit, and then 95% to seller by means of choice. All in the FAQs...every day's a school day.

To be fair the prices these are id be pretty tempted to borrow some money and buy one as a project/way to learn some good mechanic skills
Least having one as a second car means it doesn’t matter when something goes horribly wrong as I can still get to work...
Only issue is I think I’d want a GS, and £15k for a project is probably a little steep...
Someone talk me out of this madness and tell me to wait until one hits £10k (if ever)
Also this forum, even though I’ve still not bought a mas, and toyed with getting a vantage/m2/exige...seems to be a site I frequent just because it seems like good chat, with helpful people!!

Didn't take the Vantage step then Woots. That N430 that was offered you is still for sale I see. These V8 cars are getting harder and harder to shift.

Yeah still for sale and annoyingly they’re not dropping the price on it...whereas others they are...but the sticking point is trade in for my M140i, it’ll cost me £3000 to get rid of the neg equity and I’m not that desperate to get rid of it
Which leads me into wondering if I’d be better off waiting till the neg equity reduces
Or getting a ‘cheap’ project car...like a high mileage GS that can’t sell....
The import one is tempting as it’s in my fave colour....but would still need to borrow money

The 612 is a very different car - it has four useable seats, the 575/550 only two...

Hi Woots

Still looking mate? Not much moving at the moment. I'm considering getting back into a GS having sold the Argento one we discussed last year but still pondering.

Which import one do you mean? The white HK car has sold to someone on here I think.

Good luck.

Oooh glad someone snaffled it up...loved the colour but I know I’d want to change the dash into MPH and I’m sure that alone is a huge job
Hahah still looking but have to fund an entire new septic tank system for the house in the new year so the Mrs is very much against me splashing on a car, let alone a second one!! But if the right bargain comes along I could always leave it on the work car Park and spend days off tinkering maybe Mr S on the forum here can help too seeing as we work at the same place!
Missing your GS then? Surprised you haven’t bought it back?

The Med Blu GS with 54k miles advertised on here at circa £17.5 is surely the current best bargain Maser. The cheapest lowest spec new Golf is now £31k, just to add context.

Great value that car.

Yea we (www.tradeclassics.com) do the same. And we don’t ‘mistake’ £13m and £17m for £30m and £70m. (see the ‘first Porsche’ debacle)...

The auction world has been obscene for too long - many houses charge the seller 15% (plus a ‘consignment fee’!) AND the buyer 10%. It’s 2019 - how can any middleman charge over £25%?!

So we simply charge the seller £0 and £0%, and the buyer 5%+VAT.

I also argue that we offer a better product than traditional auctions - we provide several hundred photos, lots of model specific knowledge, a cold start video, a warm run video (including gear change action and anything else relevant), and pre-registered bidders.

The proof is in the pudding - we’re so trusted that 75% of our buyers don’t even see the cars in person before they buy. This also helps the seller by significantly reducing the time they spend on viewings etc.

Sorry for the shameless plug but as someone who buys and sells too many classics I’m very passionate about the insane pricing of traditional auctions.

I can say in my solitary experience with The Market, it was a positive one. Tim sold a car for me a few years ago and it was a smooth and painless process. Granted it was a £5k E38, but it certainly made selling a cheap (albeit desirable) car hassle free vs dealing directly with the public

Is this the one that was for sale at a dealership in Essex....for some time?
I’m sure someone once told me there was one concours one, the one on eBay that had questionable history and bad interior, one that’s for sale in Essex, and another which no one knew it’s whereabouts...maybe it’s this one or they’ve done a little car swap...
