Hey Wattle... Why don't you buy yourself a clapped out Maser to work on as a project? Got to be more stimulating that sitting behind your keyboard feeding paraboia, worrying about about conspiracies and Brexshit
Oh I’m not worried, after all they don’t affect me, beyond a principal and monetary aspect.
But, 1 there’s more to the conspiracy theories than meet the eye.
2 , there’s money to be made.
3 it kinda adds to my feeling that everything is a bit screwed nowadays.

Bit concerned about all the gunshot suicides myself.
Oh by the way, I live on the 33rd floor. If I suddenly decide to go paragliding tomorrow off my balcony at 3 am, You know this is all real.
You would have been pushed by a Remainer, that we can understand...

For a start I apologise for my spelling mistakes in the sentence, I was on the ******* and I only had one eye open... WFH today so I slept in until 8am, lovely.

"1 there’s more to the conspiracy theories than meet the eye."
Yes but who cares there are "bigger fish to fry"

"2 , there’s money to be made."
Yes, as above this is one of the "bigger fish" along with motors (hence why we post on SM), caring for loved ones and so on... I probably put a few hours a year into thinking... "ha I bet there is a more complex story behind that" and that's about it.

"3 it kinda adds to my feeling that everything is a bit screwed nowadays."
Nowadays? Things have been screwed for a long time mate... various forms of inequality in society: xenophobia, sexism, homophobia, violence and abuse. All we can do is try to be good people surrounding yourself with even better people and avoid the shysters.

Anyway I got work to get on with as per point 2 I have to make money to feed super unleaded into the car. Ciao!

On the subject of conspiracy theories what do you make of this?
It received absolutely NO media coverage anywhere.....not a toot, in fact I bet you didn’t hear of it.

These are America’s finest, 100% hero’s aren’t they, pillars of society and brave, brave men.

They now claim there is “overwhelming evidence” that “pre-planted explosives . . . caused the destruction of the three World Trade Center buildings.”

Having worked for AIG when the towers came down, who were the primary insurers of the WTC, I was privy to the the reports written regarding how and why the towers came down.
At the time I, along with all others with access to the information had to sign a confidentiality agreement which I believe last for 50 years (bit excessive, especially as the normal CA's we signed were for 'up to ten years' but there you go), and trust me, there were no explosives in those towers.
Mis-management, poor maintenance, even badly built. But no explosives. No covert activity to fuel a conspiracy theory. Nothing.

Basically those flying the planes 'got lucky'. Obviously those who died were far from lucky.

as far as I recall I read article that mentioned the planes hitting/impacting the towers wasn't the actual cause of the structures collapsing, it was the molten aircraft aluminium dripping and coming in to contact with the pools of water from the sprinklers and exploding??

I can actually see a case for the twin towers, wether publicised or not. Given the choice of letting them topple and possibltake out multiple buildings, or being able to drop it on its footprint, horrible that may be, it is the lesser of two scenarios.

That and a number of other 'issues', degradation of the re-inforced concrete was a major issue if memory serves me correctly. Wonder if I'm allowed to say that????

Watch the documentary on iplayer about the bridge collapse in Genoa and the impact of the degradation of reinforced concrete; scary.

saw that and was an eye opener, it was the cavities in the grout around the steel ropes that allowed rusting and strands started to snap one by one, never a good idea encasing structural steel ropes in concrete, wonder how many other bridges like that are going to fail if not properly checked/maintained

100%, I would say Prince Andrew was enjoying himself a little too much!

It's not what you know, it's what you can prove!

The number of people that asked 'what are they going to do' when the two Typhoons left sonic booms over Essex a few weeks ago in response to an incident on a Jet2 plane......

Tried to explain it to them gently
