I'm sorry to say this, but I still don't see the point of people reposting these propaganda images. They may give someone who agrees with the propagandist's intent a nice warm feeling of being 'on the right side', but to those on the opposite side they are not remotely influential, and for those who value coherent debate over bias and propaganda they are merely irritating in their debasement of civil and productive discourse.

Fair comment.

To avoid the supposedly european technocratic rules, (or lose face), B/J is happy to make transactional agreement and let chlorinated chicken poison his nation.

A man of principles I say!!

This Pep message won’t have your team laughing.

So the German economy slipped into negative growth.
Growth across the Eurozone halved (HALVED!!!!!!!!!) in the last quarter, from 0.4% to 0.2% as Germany’s contraction held the region back, while industrial production plunged by the most in more than three years in June.

And German bonds are inverted and negative yielding from 3-10!!!! That’s mental and totally abnormal....until it becomes the new normal.
This means borrowers are paying Germany to look after their money rather than put it in European banks!!!!!!! Imagine that, you pay someone over 10 years to look after your money.....wonder why Gold is going up?
What does that say about the situation in Europe and the banks?

Globallythis happened yesterday.

https://www.sportsmaserati.com/index.php?threads/we’re-all-in-the-know-so-share-your-“know”.29388/post-710816 by the way if the 2/30 inverts its never happened in history!!!!
Anyone still believe that Europe or indeed the rest of the world is prepared for no deal?

Let Johnson get on with it, without internal sabotage and we’ll get a deal.

I don't understand the narrative that chlorinated chicken will poison anybody. My understanding is that chlorinated chicken is safer than non-chlorinated (as the process kills bacteria without risk to humans). The issue with this is that because the US farms have bad bacterial conditions for live chickens, they had to make the dead ones safer with chlorination, but as EU farm standards were better the EU decided to make chlorination not required. And then, to protect the EU cartel, they banned chlorination, as a sneaky protectionist measure. I say bring on more chlorine!

It's like this weird narrative that the NHS will be destroyed by a trade deal with the USA. Under EU rules the NHS is already open to competition across the EU, and that seems fine with everybody - good to have competitively low prices and wide choice of suppliers. But allow the US to enter the market and the NHS is 'doomed' - although actually about 11% of current NHS expenditure is already with US suppliers (Microsoft, for example). It is obvious to almost everyone (including probably 95% of Tories) that it would be awful if the NHS was replaced by the US health system. But it seems to me not a bad thing at all if the NHS could buy its paper towels from Kimberly-Clark as well as Svenska Cellulosa Aktiebolaget.

Surely you're not suggesting that it is better that curing the symptom is preferable to preventing the disease at source? If chlorination is so safe, why do so many get ill or die in the US from salmonella compared to the EU? It is estimated that salmonella causes about 1.2 million illnesses in the US compared to around 90,000 in the EU, but obviously not all cases can be attributed to chicken.

If we get US chicken if the shops, you don’t have to buy it. Just like we don’t buy Cadillacs. You can, you just don’t.

Maybe it’s not cooked properly...

Maybe. Or perhaps the 1.2 million people didn’t wash their hands after handling raw chicken. Or the person cooking the chicken for them didn’t.

The point, fairly obviously, is that if the salmonella wasn’t present then they wouldn’t have got ill (or as ill at least).

So if there is a greater risk, something that statistically there seems to be, then this will mean more people with symptoms presenting at NHS facilities increasing costs which we will then have to fund through taxpayer spending.

UK Eggs are salmonella free, so why isn’t chicken. I’m pretty sure 100 years ago and further back that medium rare chicken was how you were supposed to eat it. Nowadays we are conditioned to feel ill if we eat red chicken.

The Food Standards Agency says "Lion Mark" eggs, which include almost all of the eggs produced in the UK, are virtually free of salmonella. ...

And because my interest is piqued:
British chicken is the safest chicken meat in Europe: 2% of British chickens have salmonella whereas 30% of European chickens have the disease. All British hens are vaccinated against salmonella.

So something not quite stacking up about the EU food safety regs there.
