Total manual Coupes manufactured 1078, of these 214 were RHD the other 864 were LHD. I'm guessing as you say the UK got the majority of the 214 RHD production.
Yep, my mistake! As Nibby says, 214 RHD manual coupes (from a total of 1078), the majority of which I'd assume came to the UK.

Do these numbers reflect Classico and face-lift as a whole? If not, it would be interesting to see the percentage of the two in manual guise !

I went to see this car a few weeks ago, its actually not that far north of Hull. The paint looks even better in the flesh.

I was put off when the seller opened the garage door and it had the wrong registration plate on it. On the phone he had told me the private plate was coming off and what the new plate would be, it all checked out with an MOT search.

Apart from that it was all legit, the guy has had the car for 1.5 years I think it was, history etc was really good. Selling as now has a baby (who I sort of got to meet)

I told the seller the We Buy Any Car price, he was initially shocked but resigned to the fact that he would have to take less that the current price if he wanted to sell it, so if you go and see it and offer he wont be offended.

Why didn't you buy it Rob? Or have you made an offer at a price the seller hasn't accepted yet?

Seeing the car with the wrong registration plate after the garage door was opened really put me off, as I realised that we where definitely driving it illegally, its hard to get over that.

It did sound good with its after market exhaust, he was also going to give the original exhaust as part of the sale, so there's a few quid.

All the documentation looked good with the car, but I had all ready been put off. I Bought a different car.

Fair enough. You get a feeling for a car and as you say if you haven't got it then It's hard to get over it.

I was thinking of putting a cheeky low offer in but he doesn't seem too desperate to sell so not sure that would be welcomed.

You don't know the reg number do you?
I do, but since the seller went to the trouble of not showing it on the internet I wont either, but he would be glad to tell you if you give him a ring.

Advert first speared in May for £16,999, then in the summer reduced to £15,000, is open to offered. Did not die when I told him WBAC price of £9,500. In the folder of receipts I did see how much the seller bought it for from a garage, I think it was £19,500 or there about.

Good looking car, faults I notes as below.
Few stone chips.
Faded front badge
Small scrape just in front of rear arch, not viable unless you lye on the ground
Possibly some small imperfection on rear bumper
is SORN and may still have the wrong registration plate on it.

inside.
Sticky switched
Steering wheel, bubbly (you can see in photos)
Just behind passengers door, small area leather scraped off (probably by seatbelt)

Good points not mentioned in the add.
Owned by a Doctor (if you think that's good)
Very nice seller to deal with
Clutch changed not that long ago.
Has skyhook, not sure if all UK cars have this
Everything worked.
Large file of receipts etc.

Looks better in real life and great exhaust note with different back boxes on it.

So, if anyone is interested go see it, make him an offer

Thanks Rob...very kind and useful. I'll have a think. I've got an offer out on a TVR so if he accepted that and I bought this then missus will think I'm nuts again. What's new

Might have to hide one!

What are the dimensions of your front plate please? I want to get a custom sized one for my 4200 CC. Thanks.

It's 400mm x 85mm
I had it originally on my Lotus Elise, and had it made to fit the number plate holder exactly. So it is in between a full size plate, and the 3/4 size plate, which to me is too small and attracts attention, mine less so.
