I hadn't been looking at Ghiblis thinking only the Diesel was in my price range.
Anything to look out for on the Petrol?
Thanks

If you are happy with a 15 - 30MPG based on driving style, then I think you'll find that they are then no different to the diesel versions. the exhaust note is sweeter, smoother transmission and acceleration (i've had both and is my experience) but all the rest, body, electronics etc... the same. If you like them, want one and have the budget then buy it and don't believe all the tosh you read, they are great cars....

One known problem with Ghibli's, both petrol and diesel, is the headlight washer system. These fail very easily, and are an expensive fix. Maserati charge circa £600 +VAT for the part, and a couple of hours labour to remove the front bumper to replace.

Thanks for the replies. MPG isn’t an issue as I no longer have a long commute to work, was looking at an older QP, the Ghibli has given me another option.

I have a petrol Ghibli as a daily. Its a 2014 base with a remap to S power level and really happy with it.

Just make sure all recalls have been done (there were lots of them) on early cars. I get around 29 mpg average with enthusiastic driving.

Sounds great as well. Not V8 great but lovely nonetheless

Good luck.

Who did the remap Dave and what did it take it up to?
