Alignment settings on my 2011 GT

Goes something like this...

Starts by driving the car pre-adjustment (incl limit of grip test), discuss requirements and use characteristics, check current settings, tyres etc. Weight the car as specified, adjust the geo, drive again, and if necessary adjust again.

My GTS took a full day, including freeing up and replacing some parts.

They'll remember me, Mark from Cumbria... Please say hi! Pics of my GTS and GT3 there for geo...

Looks great! I'll say hi for you and update with how it goes, but what you've described is pretty much what they've told me. I'm in for 8.30 so hopefully it will be done in time for me to miss the traffic on the M42 on the way home!

I took my GTS to Centre Gravity to get a first class geo set up. I'm even prepared to travel 3 hours to get there from home!

Don't believe it. They're about 2 miles from me! I need 2 new front tyres and was stressing about where to get them from and set it up.
Anyone know how much they charge?

I was quoted £350 inc VAT for the geometry set up

Just had new tyres put on rear and got ATS to check (and adjust) alignment:57581

Not sure whether:
  • i trust their kit (and readings)
  • or the targets

Think I may need to get done properly.

Just to follow up on this..
I visited Center Gravity yesterday for my geometry set-up, unfortunately the tyres I ordered didn't arrive until today so I didn't manage to get those fitted, and now I'm going to have to make another trip up to collect!.. But in a way it was good, as I could really see how much difference the geometry set up made to the handling on the current tyres.
And what a difference it is !! Its made the car feel planted, much more nimble, and really confidence inspiring. It's transformed the car for the better, and I am amazed at the change in the handling just from having it set up properly by someone who clearly really knows what they are doing.
I was there from 8.30 til about 1.30, and could have easily stayed all day, it was more like a day out with some lessons on suspension geometry and hanging out with other car guys than it was a visit to a garage. They explain everything in detail so you understand what it is they are doing and why.. and the results speak for themselves when you go on the test drive with them afterwards. It may seem pricey but it really is 100% worth it and I'd seriously recommend it if you can get over to them.

Here's some pics I took, including one of the car that was being set up on the other ramp that I thought was rather nice!

Any chance you can you post the settings they finally ended up with so they can be compared to the ‘official’ settings

I've posted my settings before from Center Gravity. I went for a set up that resulted in less inner tyre wear - a notorious issue with the Granturismo as far as I can see (cost me dear with premature tyre replacement). I dislike the overly 'pointy' front in any case.
Translating the settings alone won't work unless the car is weighted in any case, which hardly anyone seems to do properly.

The difference between left and right is intentional, to account for road camber. Suggest discussing with the guys at CG directly.

those are good settings. you've dialed a good bit of toe-in (0.05°) instead of toe-out (spec is -0.08° IIRC) which will help your inner tire wear massively with no downsides (at least in my opinion).

oh, and your before numbers were terrible (one side toed in, the other toed out a LOT) so that's probably why it felt bad.

good work!

My ones from CG.. was a bit all over the place beforehand.. especially that rear camber! Unfortunately, my front left caster and front right camber adjustment was completely seized, so stayed the same albeit not enough to ruin the set up according to them, just worth changing once the bushes fail. I put some PS4S’s on Friday as well, and paired with the set up the difference really is astonishing.
