I'd be in for a set... I'm in the central US (Oklahoma) and could likely handle distribution on this side of the pond. If it would be easier, I could front the cost for multiple sets and shipping here, and go from there. Just let me know what works for you guys. Thanks.

Ok I’ll give it some thought. I have not placed the order yet but will be shortly. Snowed under with CarPlay kits at the minute.

On a serious note, I need to get to 20 commitments before I order. It’s an effing large sum of money for this one.

44 sets min order...I’ll let you do the maths!

Also I have 11 sets of 4200 discs left which has £4K of my funds tied up in.

25 CarPlay kits on order too....I need a bigger credit card!

I know someone who can easily ship to the USA, Mr Conaero,
Yes you know she is my courier of choice. It’s more about the cost.

For example, SM 4200 discs £390
Shipping to NZ £220
Shipping to US £170
Shipping to Europe £40
Shipping to UK £30

It just makes the deal less attractive and it’s due to the weight.

Thanks Dave, I quiet enjoy it really, this and planning the trips. My Graphic/Web Design company I’m done with, after 25 years it just doesn’t enthuse me anymore. The staff run that now so I just do the finances.

So I’ve turned my time to the forum to give it a shove and see where it goes,..hence the raft of products that have appeared lately.

Next up are SM car covers for 3200/4200/Spyder/GS/QP/GT

Believe it or not I will be making these myself. Made from the same Spanex material and fit as the OEM, in black, SM logo and the piping will be the Italian stripe.

I’ve always been interested in leather interior work so I’ve ordered an industrial sewing machine capable of going through 7 layers of leather and been training online for the last year. The car covers will be simple in comparison to the leather work.

I’ve also purchased a 3D printer. We do CAD and 3D modelling so it seemed an logical choice. What I’m going to do with it I’m not sure. Get it out of the box probably a good start!

The Euro trips I love planning (with the assistance of Zep) and so far have been a roaring success.

As this is pretty much a full time job for me now there are margins on the products but still stupidly cheep. The trips to date I do for free but negotiate free rooms and ferries as part of the deal which negates the need for insurance...just though it best to be transparent.

Strange how things work out!

Interesting stuff Matt.

Things have come a long way since SM D Day back in 2010.

Indeed Dave. A small group of enthusiasts. I was pushed into doing the forum by Loz and Urby as I was the only one who had any knowledge of these things.

Another high 5 to you Matt from me

I'm in a similar boat with work/career as been doing it 25 years and the motivation isn't what it was. Don't get me wrong....I put a ton of time and commitment into it more than normal people but not the extra extra I have always done.

Not quite similar as you though as I have a company that doesn't run itself and needs me all the time. Never really got it to that place. So having another bash the next couple of years to get it there. Will push on until nearly 50yo as 47yo October this year. Will either then go part time to allow more time for automotive stuff or get out completely to do something different but still automotive related.

There are some great minds on this forum. Imagine what we could collectively do as an automotive bussiness between us all full time.
