Was just reading the papers this morning and came across this

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/20...es-car-parent-child-car-parking-signs-ensure/

what a load of bollox, this gender fluid/neutral thing is just ridiculous, the frigging Gillette anti male advert, cant have female manikins with lingerie in shop windows, gender neutral toilets bla bla bla, I think I read somewhere that kids as young as 5/6 are being taught that it's ok to be gender neutral, ffs they're just kids

If we spent the money changing everything to gender neutral on education that the world is full of differences and that is good we would be in a much better society generally

The fear of upsetting some one is far greater than the fear of annoying everyone.

Companies don't want to face the backlash from a few moral extremists on the likes of face book etc so make changes while the general population roll their eyes in desperation.

As for parent and child bays... i ignore them and park in them regardless.

'annoying anyone'

It's pretty much, as you say a few people that can make a *lot* of noise.

I'm absolutely behind tolerance, but that has to cut both ways.

whilst i can see why companies/organisations would want to pander to these extreme views for adults, I draw the line at messing with kids heads at such an early age, wtf are kids as young as 5/6 gonna know about this stuff and all the it's the taking part not the winning that's important thing as well, what a load of nonsense

Genuine question here, why does it annoy and or upset you so much? Do the signs on the floor really mean much to you or make a difference? Equally toilets, do you care if a woman can use them? FWIW I used to think like you until someone asked me the same question, it made me realise I was getting annoyed for no reason, or not one that really stood up to scrutiny once pressed on it. I decided it made no difference to my life and if it made others feel better then ok.....go with the flow.

Is it really extreme? Not allowing women to drive is extreme, denying science is extreme.......this? Not so much. Regarding kids, what is the truth here? There is a world of difference between promoting gender equality and allowing them to use any toilet and actively promoting sex changes. Is there any eveidence for the latter?

To be honest, this is just a story about someone who has reacted badly to being mildly inconvenienced by a sign being painted.

To me it doesn’t really matter that it was to remove a skirt that was incorrectly painted in the first place. If it was because they were clearing up spilt paint that made it look like the parent had a massive pink Afro it wouldn’t have been news at all, so we should beware of newspaper driving clicks by pushing a narrative that doesn’t really impact on our lives.

Although as it now looks like a man wearing a cape it’s quite amusing. If Aldi as a brand want all of their signs to be the same, then that is their lookout.

I'm all for the above, except I don't get what you mean about "regarding kids, what is the truth here?"

I was asking about your messing with kids heads comments and wondered what if anything is being taught, promoted or otherwise. Or maybe you meant something else?

Let me see now, there's around 800 stores in the UK and if we assumed just 5 such spaces per store that's potentially 4000 re-paints; I'll bet the finance director will be well pleased when he sees the huge impact on the balance sheet.

But wait - if they don't get any gender neutral customers who's going to park in those slots?

The story states that all of Aldi’s signs do not feature skirts (I’m not going to say Gender Neutral because that is largely beside the point) and that these signs were painted in error. So I doubt they are paying at all, let alone changing them all over the country. Someone missed a line in the specification.

Don't have the write ups to hand now, but I did read that some parents and schools are telling kids of that age that it's ok to be gender neutral, now at that age you are screwing them up, they simply don't have the capability to understand such things, call me old fashioned but wtf is gender neutral, what would you call a baby "it" a "hen"?, biologically a boy is a boy and a girl is a girl and you can never take that away, there comes a point when this is simply ridiculous and a mental issue, just my opinion and if you think my opinions are offensive you should hear the ones I keep to myself;)

Step 1...Wake up. Step.2 look in the mirror. Step 3...feel and see the anger. Step.4 search for who to blame for said anger inside you. Step 5..make breakfast and read the news. Step 6 analyse news (or maybe not), Step 7..Go to default setting and blame.......take your pick... Step 8.repeat or just let go and change....:D:D
