this guy just irritates the tits off me, privileged toff who I would happily run over

Seems a little harsh. Yah, he does sound a little posh, but he has done well to build up a business just by talking ******** about cars on Youtube.

He seems to know what he’s talking about and has some interesting stuff to say but I find him a bit annoying too. He’s just a bit too excitable. They all are. It seems to be an internet thing.

Hoovie's Garage is excellent. likewise Harry's one. Tim / Shmee is a decent bloke and works his nuts off, plus is actually into his cars and uses them. Which is refreshing, in YouTubeland. JWW turns out some decent stuff, especially now that he's looking at 'modern classics'. His 430 Scud video was interesting and enjoyable, especially as the car he used is straight-piped. That noise! Just wonderful.

As noted on the fitness thread, lining up some of these videos makes a session on the rowing machine a lot more bearable.

PS - the great thing about YouTube is, it's free. If you don't like a presenter, find another one. You're hardly short of options.

Personally I enjoy Project Binky by Bad Obsession Motorsport. They are putting a Toyota Celica GT4 drivetrain into an original Mini. The ingenuity is amazing and the humour is a mix of Naked Gun, Blackadder and Red Dwarf.

Shmee's ok but there's too many youtubers trying to copy him,, and they all have a way to go to catch this man:

Agreed

Other ones to watch:

Royal Jordanian (motovlog)

Tavarish - he's currently rebuilding hoovies burnt F355 and eventually basket case bentley. I enjoyed the lambo build a lot.

B is for build - hes a little shouty but incredible what he does on a budget using quick jacks

Car throttle - only slightly less irritating than schmee but they occaisionally make me lol.

Oh, and avoid TGE and Archie Hamilton. Paul Wallace / Supercars of London has grafted seriously hard to get where he is, but he lacks the means to just keep buying cars in the way Shmee does. Stil, his Lambo Murci adventure is interesting and I take my hat off to anyone who has the balls to buy one. Proper raw, slightly old-school feel about it.

For me, any title which asks "should I buy a ...?" Is to be avoided.
