There is some rubbish and some rare but one stand out for me is the Ferrari 330 GT 1964

ACA link

Easy to dismiss but take another or longer look at it and actually it has an awful lot going for it, true lots of little bits are missing but they are available, take a quick look online; I found the front and side indicators in about 30 seconds along with a spare wheel and all sorts of other bits.

I really hope this makes a project for someone to get into, IMHO (almost) an affordable classic Ferrari!!!

That is indeed a project car! Lots of bits will have to be privately commissioned and hand made, not to mention a bare meal strip, engine rebuild, rewire, retrim, etc. But giving a figure of around £200k to a decent Ferrari restoration place should get you near the finishing line. A chat with Emblem would be a good starting point. They regularly take cars in this condition and make them concurs winners.

But cant these things be worth upwards of £300k, in which case looks like a steal (if you are in that league)

There could be a profit. If your stars line up and you find the required parts, the restoration goes smoothly, the cars paperwork trail and provenance is found and proven, and you sell it at a top price before the market contracts, you might make a few grand. More realistically, even if you got this shell for free, you’d struggle. Buy it because you want it, not because you want to make a profit. Same goes for the Maserati 3500 in the auction also.

The Buick Riviera is the one that would tempt me, I had a Corgi toy one as a kid in almost this colour (in fact I still have it) and had always wanted one.

When did GTV's (the 60's version) get to 25k? :(

Ever since Alfaholics and other 105 specialists have started making GTA and track day lookalikes, the market for 105 Bertones is super buoyant with specialists like Ian Ellis having 2 to 3 year waiting lists to restore cars.

the 330GT seems pretty solid and doesn't actually look like it would be a complicated resto, would be good just to get it up and running, uk registered. very light resto and with patina, I'm quite liking the 70's chopper

There are some wonderful, evocative old cars there. Just remind me never to take a car to Denmark. They get proper ****** up over there.

How on earth does a car get in that condition. I get rust, poor paint and worn mechanicals but that 330 looks like it has been used a children’s climbing frame. Surely even the most basic of care would see it in reasonable condition. Maybe I am unrealistic given it’s age but it seems rediculous to let it get to that stage. The seats are a joke, surely put a cover over them once the bl00dy foam starts coming out

Theres an 850 CSi Manual in a unit 100 yards from my office, the paint work is awful and has done almost 100k
I asked the owner how much he would want for it, and he said 20 grand! Dream on mate!
Probably about right at the moment.
A good one is £50k, the best £70k. JK’s one broke a record at the NEC. He’d only had it a year so it’s not a celebrity special car, but he turned a healthy profit.
