o2 service sucks today; no mobile data since early this morning and since 16.00 no phone signal either...

Tell me about it, screwed me right over on a job today when I’m supposed to be chilling on a beech. Caused havoc with bench testing a GSM dialler that’s supposed to be world sim any network. Where’s the rant thread lol

EE here - cos we're stuck on ADSL2 here, I got EE LTE mobile internet, not cheap, 70 quid a month (my Ltd pays) 300gb limit, does 120mb down, 52 up, it's the future especially when 5G rolls out...

I'm with them too. No 4G or data, and network dropping in and out most of the morning, not too much of an issue for me. Just shows how much people rely on their phones in this age though!

Surely any of the networks could suffer this outage?

Mind you I was with O2 10/15 years ago briefly. I would never, ever go back. Truely horrendous service back then.

Makes me laugh when people moan they have had no data for a day. Hardly life or death is it.

Some people in the world haven't got enough food to eat, nor clean water or a roof over their head.

Priorities a little out of wack I'd say.

I wouldn't mind my mobile sim to stop working permanently. Preferred life without mobiles. I'd rather go back to a letter in the post of I had my way!

Just because my phone rings doesn't mean I need to answer it. I'll speak to people when I want to or when I'm ready thanks.

I find it strange that someone could be in the middle of something maybe dinner, are interupted by a call but still answer it to say I'm busy at the moment I'll speak to you later.

I get so many calls and emails from all and sundry. If I dealt with half of them that would take up a working day in its entirety. The wonder of modern comms.

It is not just the fact you can't check your social media, it is all the data for business that rely on it.
Within the manufacturing sector so many systems reply on cellular modems, so not just payment systems etc at retail level etc.
