Due to an opportunity to buy something new the time has come to sell my beloved Gransport.
My car is Nero Carbonio with black leather interior with blue french stiching and light grey tech cloth inserts. The rear spoiler is carbon fibre. Mileage is 57500 with full service history.
During my tenure the car has wanted for nothing and has been maintained regardless of cost with many upgrades and many items have been replaced prior to failure to maintain the car’s impeccable reliability.
I purchased the car at 44500 miles at which point it had just had a new clutch fitted by Meridien Modena - the clutch is currently showing 35% worn so has at least 20k miles left in it. It also had brand new Pirelli P Zeros which I have replaced with Michelin Pilot Supersport all round, with plenty of tread left. I have used the car sparingly during my ownership and the majority of the mileage has been motorway or back roads. I have not driven a sweeter handling GS in all my time on the forum.
Works carried out in my tenure:
Annual maintenance including annual brake fluid flush and gearbox oil replacement.
New thermostat (replaced as precautionary measure - never overheated)
New air conditioning compressor (replaced prior to failure)
New oil pressure sender
New gearbox oil cooler pipes (replaced as they were looking slightly perished)
New rear drivers side wheel bearing (due to excess noise)
New forum front brake discs - rear discs were new at time of purchase. Spare set of rear discs included in sale.
New genuine Maserati Lambda Sensors fitted last year
New brake pads installed prior to Le Mans this year
New track rod and end on the near side
Complete suspension rebush - including all wishbones, front anti roll bar mounting bushes, shock absorber bushes and rear toe link bushes
Hunter alignment by Northampton Motorsport
Clutch PIS set tight for snappy gear changes and lower wear
Complete paintwork correction carried out when I purchased the car along with a complete refurbishment of all wheels by Pristine Wheels in Woburn
Brake disc centres have been painted with silver heat resistant paint
Upgrades:
Forum X pipe (Original centre section is available and can be refitted)
Goodridge braided brake hoses (carbon look of course!)
Headlamp bulbs upgraded to xenon (this is a non-xenon car from the factory)
Head unit upgraded to an Alpine bluetooth item with hands free phone operation
As with all used cars, there is still some work to be done. The front bumper needs to be painted as there is some peeling of lacquer and stone chips, there is a single chip on the bonnet which has been touched in but could be further tidied up.
The car is going for prep and sale this weekend and will be advertised at £23,995 which is very reasonable given the £1000's that have been lavished upon it. It is available now for £22,500 for a quick sale.
