No rose tinted glasses...it is a great iconic car & well worth being the only keeper for sure.

My 4200 is a keeper for definite. Anything I have looked to bring in would always been alongside or in addition to. There is no point in offloading it regardless of what mileage it does. Only reason would be if things went financially disastrous & we needed the cash. Hopefully we won't see that day.

That is why Ewan should keep the MCV....why sell it?

If you’d seen it since we finished prepping it there’s no way you’d let it go. Also drives perfectly.

I've not seen it since Richard prepared it for sale. And now that it's a 5 hour drive from me, it's unlikely that I will. Which is probably a good thing as if I did, I'd most likely decide to keep it. And if I keep it, it'll end up squirrelled away at the back of the storage unit, in a Carcoon, hardly ever to be used again. Which, while a sensible investment, would be a bit of a shame. Hence the thought to pass it on.

Keep it then, you'll probably never find another, and you told me it was a keeper at Wilton a couple of months ago!

And if you thought it looked good when on display at Wilton House, you should see it now (after it's near five-figure spruce up)!

Stunning car for sure but never say never as there will be something else nicer and different around the corner. Life is too short to keep the same car however good they are.... it's nice to sometimes look back with fondness and nostaglia about cars and owning them again is never the same.

Bet you wish you could say that about the GTS ;)

What the ownership experience? It's been great, loved every minute of it to be honest, best car i've had by a country mile. I might end up keeping it if I don't get what I want/need for it.

Well you could always keep it and let me have permanent loan of it, then you would still own it, and it would be getting driven as it was meant to be !!!

Agreed...stay strong....the buyer will come to you soon. Patience is a virtue....moreso when your selling a Maser

The problem I've got is replacing it. There are very little 4 seaters on the market right now to chose from. Too leggy, too tatty, sold or reserved. Let's hope that in September there are a few and maybe a Centennial?

My brother-in-law has a mint V8 Marcos, and my Dads old Lotus Esprit S4s.
Both squirrelled away in a back of a storage unit, both not been taxed or MOTed in the last 7 years.
What is the point in that?
My Stag and Maser are both ready to go, side by side, fully fuelled, insured, taxed etc with a clear route out of the garage straight to the public highway.
Biggest decision is which one to take for a run!

Well done.......In all fairness that GT-S of yours was brilliantly priced it was never going to hang around...
