Another big thanks to Aldous & Harvey @ AV Engineering. Again 2nd year Voicey has had my 4200 for its annual service/inspection & again another sterling job & experience.

Had some fluids/filters changed, the suspension dropped 10mm/15mm to GS spec & the new Carbon Fibre steering wheel & shift paddles fitted. After gradually noticing the car getting louder in not a nice way recently there were various exhaust system leaks that were the source of the issue. Voicey removed, re-sealed & re-clamped the system & it is a pleasure to drive again.

Had some time to kill when I dropped the car off & it was great to chat to Voicey about my 4200 & other cars they have there. Lots of talk of 430's & I'd love to get one but hard to justify the current price compared to mine to get into one. It was great to be in the workshop surrounded by a plethora of proper Italian supercars. Even giving Voicey a brief & basic hand on a 430 was a joy.

It was great to hear both Voicey & Harvey re-iterate that my 4200 is the very best they have seen & driven by some margin. After the drive home I have to agree & don't see my 4200 going anywhere for a long time. If anything comes in it would need to add to & not replace the 4200 for sure.

Obviously highly recommended if you're in that region & worth travelling if your not.

Keep the hard & good work going boys

Great to hear. Had mine booked in. Sadly work forced other solutions in the interim :(

Would really help if they got a loaner or five in. Forum buy? ;)

They have a lovely yellow beast that could be used as a loaner!

I actually hired a transit van for a week from Enterprise in Ashford as was closing down our Hitchin office so 2 birds with 1 stone & all that.

Would have cost me 40 x 2 for train tickets or 124 quid for a transit for a week! No brainer as used it loads to close office down. Enterprise will pick you up from AV & drop you back on collection day free of charge. They cocked up my van & it was late by 4 hours as wasn't there! Dropped me back to AV though & I spent some time with Voicey & did some work at Harvey's desk in my laptop so not a disaster although did mean I missed a job late PM & had to go back next day.

A smaller van was about 20 quid a day I think & cheaper than the cheapest car. An cost effective option for any looking to use AV & need a loaner.

Agreed...ride height looks more in line with contemporary set up.
The wheels don't look to be very central in the arches however..?

Grtzz....

Keep it Rockits, good late 4200’s are very few and far between; I struggle to find them and when I do they sell very quickly in the main. I’ve one coming Monday too, nigh on identical to yours but super high miles at 24000 ;)

No carbon on mine though but an easy retro fit for those who desire.

Ah they don't have a loaner. Was wondering that as I'll probably be using them at the end of the year. That's a pain.

Should have given me a shout. Could have pointed you in the right direction of a loaner or picked you up.
