Oh dear. Was it something I said? I was outside buffing my Bugatti and have come back to find the children are leaving the party early. Hey ho!

Keep dreaming son...

There you go with your arrogant opinion; you have no idea who Birdcage is and no idea of his worth. You obviously think he's a wannabe but you don't know. There are people on this forum who are possibly as wealthy as you but you'd never know. They don't feel the need to have foot long signatures itemising the exotic cars they say they have had whereas you do. This gratuitous flaunting of your perceived wealth and status shows you for what you really are and we all know what that is without saying it. Perhaps it is best if you go now as you will always be thought of as such and that wouldn't be good. Not so much us, because we are the ones giving you such disdain, but for you and your tender feelings.

One of the chaps at my school made some good money giving tuppenny tosses. I'm starting to wonder if mcs and I may already be acquainted. Small world!

I fear you will never find out. He said he was going to go and earn lots and lots of money to buy himself a bigger c0ck to rub in our faces but I fear he won't be able to manage that either.

Can his secretary tell us the path to Wealth and Greatness?
She is truly committed if she logs into sportsmaserati for him.
My last secretary wouldn't even chase up results for me.

I know Birdcage and his wealth well - it shows on his posts. As jelous as you are.

By the way I placed a deposit on a Mclaren 720s this afternoon - £288,000 only.

Please dont kill youself :)

WOW - at 11am this morning I nearly posted a comment around this thread becoming a bit heated, and in danger of becoming handbags at dawn (meant in humour in case anyone is offended!)

5 hrs, and over 65 comments later, I come back to the thread and it's all descended into name calling and lobbing insults at each other.

One of the things I like about this forum is that it's incredibly broad in terms of who are members. Some are clearly very wealthy and have cars and a lifestyle I may never be able to afford, whereas others are perhaps less so. However, my impression so far has been that everyone on here is a car enthusiast, and that everyone has a valid, sometimes funny, point of view.

I know it's a public forum, we're all grown ups, and we can all say what the heck we like, but this all feels a bit OTT to me...

I confess that I'm not remotely interested in how much you spent (sorry!), but I do like the 720. So well done on placing an order. What colour? They look good bold, in my view.

A couple of points to make.

1. Thought Birdcage had a permanent ban.
2. Has Birdcage bought a Maser yet?
3. Is anyone over the age of 12 remotely jealous of someone's wealth?
4. The thread is a great way to while away the time whilst at a standstill in a track jam.

+1

So, perhaps rather optimistically ;) Regarding OP's query. I would also be interested in buying an X pipe for my Granturismo. Larini or otherwise. If there's any mileage in attempting some kind of group purchase and discount, I'd be interested in discussing. If not, not a problem.

Incidentally, I tended to think that there was a little exaggerating going on here, when some said that they mostly listen to their exhaust and rarely their ICE. Looking back on my first month of ownership, I could count on the fingers of one hand, the number of times, I've even turned on the ICE. It's nothing short of bliss to be back driving cars that put a smile on my face, as well as those around me.

One of my worries about buying the GT was the Sat Nav and Audio system.
I looked into all sorts of ways before purchase to put in aftermarket systems and got quotes from 700-5000 pounds.
As soon I bought it I knew I would never use any of it. I just grinned like an idiot with the windows down in all weathers - especially after the X pipe. I have to say though I thought the Bose Upgrade was phenomenal.

I thought the X pipe was the best VFM upgrade I ever bought. I was lucky to be able to buy it from StuartW who moved onto bigger, better and louder things.

Reading through this thread reminds me of why I recently departed Facebook - too much nastiness & life's too short. I am sure this forum won't go down that route, I truly hope not, as this is the only social media that I participate it!

Anyhow, back to the original theme and the wonderful sound of our cars' exhausts. Yes, the X is a great upgrade and one that Matt first told me about soon after I said I was considering a GTS and the best VFM thing you can do to your car and he's not wrong. Bang for your buck is huge whether it be courtesy of Marios' pipes or the Larini option via their website, you really can't go wrong. There are no lambda sensors to worry about and it is totally reversible.

I have done it on both of my Granturismos and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone.
