Replacement buttons for an MC Shift - '1 and R'

Has anyone replaced their buttons on an MC Shift - on mine the 1 is ok but the R is worn a little. Its driving me insane. (must be the odd again).

I have been told I have to replace the whole unit (including the surrounding carbon) at a cost of several hundred pounds.

It literally would look good as new with one plastic button.

Anyone had similar problems or can advise?

I was told the same thing in regards to the alloy switch plate on the GS. There the sport button becomes worn. Was told they only come as a set.

Then a call to Ross at Meridian Modena and we got them separately and arranged a forum group buy.

Wow - that sounds promising.

Anyone else up for new buttons on an MC Shift?

Did you get the buttons individually then?

I think I paid around £400 fitted! Brian is going to be a very lucky chap :)

Hi I need those same buttons R and 1 so if it gets the price down I'd be happy to purchase with others. Nick

I have a solution- and it's not expensive - I was given false info.
The carbon one (which I have ) is 407+ VAT. The leather one housing both buttons is 115+ vat (which I think is fine).
The buttons can be switched apparently from leather to carbon...
I wouldn't want to go from carbon to leather.
Should be able to fit oneself if happy taking off the fascia- I am not!

Are these buttons the same as on a Granturismo as mine have a bit of wear on them?

Yep all GTs the same I think.
Its the only slight sign of wear on my entire car.
Looking forward to getting them changed

Right got the part. 4 weeks later! Unfortunately my dealer got the carbon replacement. But fortunately I only got charged £115! Does anyone know how to fit it? Surely it pops out? Cheers.
