I have bought one too. Just need to work out how to fit it.

Do you split the two sides of the key apart?

Don't know...I think so...I think there is something in the owner's manual for changing the battery so it should be the same for the rubber button...my current button is flushed to the side of the key casing. I'm assuming that it's meant to stick out a bit hence I ordered one.

Am sure one of the 3200 guys will pass by, but for the 4200 fob, yes just prise apart and all will be evident.

Mine is also heading south inside the keys casing. If i dont replace it now i will have nothing to press ;-)

All done and fitted.

Took about 30 seconds, easiest fix on a car ever...

May have to get a spare one as i am sure it will go again at some point...

Did you find a loose bit of plastic in the fob? I left it out thinking it wasn't important but the car wouldn't start without it!!!

No loose bits Of plastic in mine.

Just prided the edge open and swapped it over and clicked key back together..

Hi,

I know it's an old thread but I reengineered a "3200 GT black button rubber" on my 3D printer from FLEX 98A material.
It's not as soft as the original and you need to press a bit harder but at least it's not "trigger happy".
Just let me know if anyone is interested in the STL file for printing or I might be able to ship some for a reasonable price.

P.s.: The final print quality will be a lot better because I had high moisture level in the filament which makes it bubbly.

Got mine on eBay from a guy in Slovenia who specialises in these buttons, also very cheap. The button was OEM as well.
