It was the same when I was in hospital five years ago - I found the cleaning staff the most caring - and I used a sports water bottle as sometimes it was difficult to sit up properly to drink without spilling water everywhere with a glassEven basic care is sadly lacking, my son waited 2hrs after asking for a glass of water, in the end his mother drove over and managed to get him a drink before anyone on the woman’s did
Thanks - our next worry is that if for any reason the operation does snot take place before close of play Friday - he will be impacted by the next round of strikes.Sorry to be reading this showing what a state the service has got into.
Really hope you can get what's needed done as soon as.
The strikes do not affect private treatment. You should consider forgetting the NHS and just go privately via either BMI Group or the Spire Group who between them are two of the largest private providers. The NHS is completely screwed up. Just dig into your pocket and pay the man to sort out your issues. Thanks - our next worry is that if for any reason the operation does snot take place before close of play Friday - he will be impacted by the next round of strikes.
Clinical opinions can vary. Friendly chats are not going to help. Just book a private consultation and move forward. Thanks - sadly what we have is conflicting diagnosis from two physicians in the same hospital looking at the same information.
We are seeking a private consultation, on heat, looking for friendly chat on the process and how best to proceed.

Pretty sad star of affairs
It’s not as easy as that or we would have done exactly that. The strikes do not affect private treatment. You should consider forgetting the NHS and just go privately via either BMI Group or the Spire Group who between them are two of the largest private providers. The NHS is completely screwed up. Just dig into your pocket and pay the man to sort out your issues.
You have to remember he has a leg in bits and in the middle of treatment.Clinical opinions can vary. Friendly chats are not going to help. Just book a private consultation and move forward.
My son has full health insurance as do we, but it hasn’t helped in this emergency.I hope you get this sorted soon, and a satisfactory outcome. I'm glad I have kept my Bupa going, although I swing from plusses and minuses, a bit like justifying a classic car lol.
You did not mention he is currently in mid-treatment or that he has a leg in bits. You have to remember he has a leg in bits and in the middle of treatment.
