Hi guys.

I'm very close to pulling the trigger on a 08 Maserati GT 4.2.

50,000kms.

Car looks in pretty good condition inside and out although two small covers near the lights are missing. Owner says they fell off?

Anything I should be looking for in particular?

Headlamp washer covers?

They fell off on the 4200 a lot but on the GranTurismo they will not deploy over about 75mph to stop this happening.

Brakes
Drive shafts - clicking noise but this car may have the upgraded ones
Carbon Canister is it due to be replaced?
Suspension bushes esp if the tracking needs re setting
battery - they appear to eat them regularly.
Ensure all the electric items work esp the main display
check for a rattle at start up this occurs when the vairiators are faulty
check the cats for impact damage
lasty if it has a clutch check it on an sd3 for wear.

Agree with this especially the brakes - expensive. As a 4.2 it will be auto only.

Also check when the O2 sensors were replaced, they are on the same 4 year cycle as the carbon canister.
