Spa Classic

Hi all,

We got back last night from Spa Classic, cert mainly a fantastic weekend, and would highly recommend it, great atmosphere. The car performed brilliantly all the way there and back, and didn't put a foot wrong, attracting lots off good attention on the way! tricky considering the rest of the group we were in! We had a 25 minute lap session around Spa as well, which was great fun, the car did start to feel very large on there though! The company who we booked with managed to get us parking next to the hotel Eau Rouge which was great for photographs. The Larini Sports system and X pipe did have a drone at certain revs on the motorways, but keeping it at the right RPMs stopped that, it was certainly worth it for the fantastic sound, and pops and bangs on the over run! Had a rather disappointing end to the day, when the TVR went wrong, one of the Cobra's throttle cable snapped, and an articulated car transporter reversed into the car when I was track side! We have the reg number of the truck (British) so going to see if we can track down the company.
I thought I would share some photographs from the trip -

Looks like you had a great weekend out, and got the best of the weather too. Shame the transport ran into one of your cars but hope it gets sorted out. With that selection of cars you had the lion's share of the luggage space too...

was great fun, Conaero, highly recommend the trip! We did the Le Mans Classic 2 years ago, which was just as good, a bit busier though.

I took the opportunity to go to the Spa classic event last year. It has a private members feel compared to the Le Mans classic with excellent access in the paddocks and grandstand. I can see the Spa classic getting busier in years to come so if it’s on your bucket list get it done sooner rather than later.the run out is a dreary 4 hour motorway run so best to go in convoy so at least you have your mates cars to look at. Back to Le Mans classic for me this year.....

Nice write up and a shame about the damage.
My late Father and Grandfather with the HF Fulvia he ran with the Jolly Club Milan at Spa in 72.
Went in many of those Fulvias as a kid with the Old Man.FB_IMG_1527034498423.jpg
