Thread: Radio springs

Does anyone know the precise location of these springs which sit between the backing plate and circuit board within the radio??? They simply fell out during stripdown but there are no obvious marks as to where they were.

Yes there are four of them between the back of the display/head unit and the heatsink with a small circuit board embedded. These springs rest on the four copper plates exposed on said circuit board on the aluminum heatsink, as well as four exposed plates on the back of your display.

Thanks but unfortunately not for mine which is an ‘02 model. No heat sink and the backing plate is different. The springs locate on 4 pins that protrude from each corner of the screen.
