Hi all, I was wondering if anyone with my background and experience can help me with the following problem, on my 4200 Cambo (04 Reg).
I have just experienced a dead battery and after several days of trying to recharge it, finally resorted to getting it changed under warranty with the RAC. Just befor eit finally died, the drivers side electric window fully lowered, on its own and remained in that position (with the car at that point with dead battery).
The very helpful RAC man came out, tested the 'dead' battery and then swapped it for a brand spanking new one. Car started immediately on first try. Happy days I thought... Until the passenger side window also decided to lower itself on its own and remained in that position ! The windows up/down buttons fail to work, can just about hear a very small click but windows refuse to raise again. The car other than this is starting and driving fine. Additionally, it looks as if the central locking is now also faulty, as refusing to lock using the key button on fob (because the windows stuck down ?). RAC man and I baffled and just hoping someone can help/advise, before I have to tape open windows up for long draughty drive to my specialist 100 miles away, or wait until warm weather ! Thanks all.
