To Strad or not to Strad....

I have a feeling that carbon bonnet on the 4 seater strad was a Novitec product before, and someone at maserati liked it for the 4 seater. Could have made all this up. Took mine out yesterday for a sunny evening blast! Gosh, amazing fun! There were some expensive cars in the car park where we meet, but the stradale always gets the 'ooohs and aaaahhhas'. An owner of a brand new M6 pleaded with me to start her up. He knew.

No not 600k+ better but then I wouldn't be looking at either if it were me.

I've never been in a Macca but from what I read & see they seem to be in a similar world to Audi when emotion & souls comes into it. Maybe Lambo still have it right bringing the best of German engineering with twist of Italian passion, soul & emotion. There is a lot of good things being said about the Huracan Performante.....and it sounds good.

Aston Martin seemed to have always hit the sport fairly well or thereabouts.

I have an issue now as the E55K is a much better daily for me & my use than the QP. The QP's days could be numbered

I drove MP12 Spyder Rockits and it was bloody brilliant. All this talk of no soul never materialised with the one I drove. Drove a 458 and Gallardo the same day the the McLaren was my favourite by a country mile.

Yes you could get a Novitec bonnet for your 2 seater but they only lifted it from the Trofeo racer.

You could also buy it as Joe Public. I'm guessing (purely) that that is what Maserati did too, for the 4 seater. Or maybe copied it.

Interesting to know. That was an MP4 12C Andy? I thought they were allegedly one of the worst culprits.

Or just modify the existing one! Can't imagine it would be hard for a glass fibre specialist to knock up a copy. Certain likely cheaper that Maserati pricing!

Is there a function use of the scoop/vent or just cosmetic?

That's the one...All those MP C MC LP.....I just end up getting confused at my age. Yes there are lots who say they are soul less but what does that really mean. I found it exhilarating. It was one of the quickest cars I have driven and this had a sports exhaust so sounded better. The interior for me was simple and head and shoulders above the two Italians and felt like it would be squeak free when the others would be falling apart. Everyone feels and sees something different in cars but I loved it and McLaren has racing history as well. There cars keep getting better and better. They need to be driven to be appreciated. Just a lovely place to be.

All this Strad chat is giving me itchy feet, and I've only had my GT-S about 5 months! The problem is that my ideal would be a 2 seater in RHD in MC-Victory blue, and I'm sure that such a car doesn't exist.

As far as I can see there are only two 2 seaters for sale, both of which have been available for ages (at circa £60k). And neither of which excite me. Fingers crossed a more interesting colour/spec 2 seater crops up this year.

I have been in touch with Meridien about that car. But I thought it was a 4 seater, though I could be wrong.

I remember that Strad. Ridiculously gorgeous spec. No recollection if it was 2 or 4 seats, but the colour I remember very well.

Was it a high-cost option? I'm surprised there aren't more in that colour.

It was a two seater as I had other pics somewhere and no bonnet vent. They had an MV Victory GS which had that white colour leather with blue alcamtara or may have been the other way around....Thus car was the exact same colour out and in. Def a 2 seater Ewan.

Remember thinking it would have rather good to have the Stradale and GS in the garage side by side.

That’s a bargain somebody buy it. A great investment. I can only think the colour is the reason for it not selling.

Stop it Dave....your not helping! I like the colour & the car. Just can't afford 30k+ on top of my 4200 at the moment. Which is a shame & lucky at the same time!

Yeah, I agree with Dean. I think the colour really suits it. I'd buy it in a heartbeat if I had any money. It's extraordinary value at that price and I just cannot understand why it hasn't sold yet.

I love the colour also. If I could sneak it past the missus and tell her I've just had mine wrapped I would!

Must be a good reason why it hasn't sold. Question I have is why it has been through 3 owners already in 6 years. Two years an owners isn't too many or an issue but why would you sell on & what do you change it for?

I could understand 1 or 2 owners...but 3?
