Hi all happy new year. First run 2018 all dials light up all work except Volt Meter. Stuck at about 11 volts. Even with engine off. No movement switching lights on and off or reving the engine.
Red light comes on at start off as soon as the engine fires. Light in dial works. Any quick suggestions is it just stuck

What C said... that gauge has a mind of its own...

If you are worried about your battery get a multimeter on it

Stick a multimiter on the battery and find out..14.00 Volts for a good battery is about it!

Give the meter a tap with your finger, nothing else.

You'll hurt your finger before the car.

Being an electronic engineer of 27 years, not only do I know that the meter needs a tap but where and how hard...

Percussive maintenance :)

What they said, check with a meter make sure car is ok and then either ignore or tap it, or both.
