Winter tyres for Qp

So my understanding is that my QPV is supposed to have
- Front: 245/40ZR19 96Y
- Rear: 285/35ZR19 101Y

But 285 seems to be very hard to find. Can I do 275/35 or 275/40 instead? What's the difference? Which would be better? Protyre and National websites suggest 275/40.

I have had a quote for Pirelli SZeros 2x245/40ZR19 and 2x275/40ZR19 for £1,170!!

Can't find anyone nearby (SW Cotswolds) who can quote for the Vredesteins

I'm still shopping for winter tyres. Seems really hard to find anything to fit either my 19in or 20in rims at a sensible price. I think these are the sizes, and I don't know how far from these I could go to find a close-ish fit. Do you?
  • 245/40ZR19 96Y 8.5Jx19 ET52
  • 285/35ZR19 101Y 10.5Jx19 ET50.5

  • 245/35ZR20 94Y 8.5Jx20 ET52
  • 285/30ZR20 99Y 10.5Jx20 ET50.5
As my QPV (with the 20s) is currently at SportsItalia and the summers are really done, they are sourcing four Michelin Alpines for around £1,500 (inc VAT fitted)! I really can't find a better deal anywhere.

Black Circles has some 20in Continental Winters at £1,530 inc fitting (I think) and Camskill had them for £1,250 delivered. And I did find this maybe bargain at Camskill for the 19s (but the rear tyres are marked as 'Porsche fit'), but I can't face the logistics, so if someone wanted these it might be an option:

Nobody seems to have Sottozeros in either 285/35ZR19 or 285/30ZR20

What's the story on 'Jaguar Fitment' or 'Porsche Fitment' (etc) on some tyres?

For example, Black Circles have Pirelli Winter Sottozero 3 245/40 R19 V (94) in stock, but the are labelled "Jaguar Fitment". Is that a real thing or is that just BS? Surely if it's the right size and rating, it will go on the QP?

Wonder if they are just identifying it as the factory-supplied/OEM tyre. Size and rating all you need to worry about...

It is not as simple as that I'm afraid, as far as I'm aware there are lots of different parameters to 'manufacturer specific' tyres. Things like sidewall strength, tread compound etc. I read something about it once, but for the life of me can't find it now, but basically car manufacturer says to tyre manufacture 'we want a tyre with these characteristics, which will suit our car', tyre manufacturer then develops a tyre that gives the characteristics car manufacturer wants.

Psst...don't tell anyone: they are all the same tyre. There's one giant factory that makes them all. Except Pirelli...those are formed in the pits of Hades by folks on the fourth ring.
