Two Maseratis a 3200 that didn't sell at £9k and a nice Ghibli which made £9250 plus 12% buyers premium. The Ghibli has been bought by a young lad in the village so hopefully will see it about.

He's a brave young lad to pay £10k all in (approx) for a very early, LHD Ghibli with no inspection or warranty. That's no bargain. It probably wouldn't make that on a dealer forecourt, post inspection, with a new service and a warranty! But good luck to him - it was a LHD Ghibli that started me off on my on-going Maserati adventure.

It was tidy with 77k on the clock, underneath looked really solid with no signs of even surface rust. Arches, sills, bulkhead all good. No leaks from the engine but not much history.

Apparently the lad is a mechanic at a local specialist and works on Masers, I will need to look him up and find out where he works

We were tempted but as Ewan says it was market value at best and no inspection opportunities so we decided it wasn't worth the risk
