Hi everyone from the Garden of England (Kent)

I've recently purchased a 64 plate Stradale and would just like to say how impressed I am with it and how much I'm enjoying her. It is my first Maser, I have had plenty of exotic and fast cars over the years and am also fortunate to also currently own a Mclaren 650s spider. I know it is early days and it is a new toy but I must say already that is up there with my most favourite cars I have ever owned.
I love the Mclaren for the pure speed adrenaline rush you get out of it. The Maser is obviously a completely different car in being a Grand Tourer but I love it as much as the Macca as it gives a feeling of more sense of occasion when driving it. The sound is to me the best there is in race mode, it is music to my ears it has Italian design, looks classy and stunning. It doesn't matter to me about the infotainment system being dated as I'm not a tech geek and do not buy a car for that reason, prefer the sound of that glorious V8. The clunky gear change seems strange at first compared to the slick gear change of the 650 but hey I like it as it gives it a lot of character.
I think the car is very much underrated as a lot of people skip the Maser brand for the Ferrari, Lambo brand etc. When I drive it and see an Aston, Ferrari, Lambo or even a Mclaren on the road I don't feel that im disappointed that I'm driving a Strad as it is more than a match for them, even tho I do admire them, I think equally they are admiring the Maser.

Hope to meet some of you at future meets in the UK

Welcome Ray and what a first Maserati.
There's a few Stead owners who will be along so you're in Good company.

Welcome Ray, as Phil mentioned, there are now several Strad owners here and we all agree with your thoughts. I've owned several faster cars but none that has got under my skin in quite the same way.

You'll also find that the clowns on here are a lot of fun with great events and meetings that are completely non-pretentious. As well as some reasonable chat, you'll work out quickly who is sensible and who needs some specialist help.

Both are just stunning.....Drove a 12c Spyder and that just blew me away so you must just be even more amazing. Great two cars and the decals really work on the Stradale as well.

Clowns to the left jokers to the right of me.
Phil, you went and moved almost as far right on the standard world map as possible. So I think you sum up this place well... a load of clowns.

Ray, welcome! Nice pair of motors there and frankly, we'll appreciate you turning up to meets with either! If you're still wondering into which camp you fall, just remember you'll be very lonely in the sane camp.

Nice Ray!!! I own a GTS and am thinking about what to replace it with, your post makes me think about getting into a Stradale and staying with the brand. Speed is all well and good but rarely can you exploit the extra power of the 650S and other similar performance cars. You are spot on about the sense of occasion and the sound, there is not one car on the road that sounds as good as the GTS/Strad and with the Larini Sports cats plus X/H pipe it's even more impressive.

Look forward to meeting you in the future.
