Hi All,

Does anyone have a used 3200 thermostat that is about to be binned?
I'm looking to replace the one on my other car and just want to make sure it will fit properly.
The thermostat is a very similar design but one of the outlets is at a different angle.

Thanks in advance

From his text I could not read if there is already an alternative at hand.
Gates Thermostates cost only 60€ and have the same shape but open at 80degree Celsius.

Hi, does the 80c opening temperature make any difference in the real world? Are these the Alfa/Chrysler ones?
Thanks

Couldn't notice any difference. At least I have a better feeling when going full speed. But I doubt that 5 degrees make any difference in this way or the other. At least a new thermostat holds the temperature very stable whereas probably 90% of the thermostats in the 3200 GT's are meanwhile not working properly anymore.

is far as I remember one differnce is that those have a bleeding valve (so a smal ball thing inside). Don`t know whether this causes issues. The higher coollant temperatur I read some time ago, are needed to get better environmental figures. But also in Germany some Maserati specialist sell the one with the lower temperature intended for the V8 Qauttroporte as fitting for the 3200GT

EDIT: meanwhile also Eurospares indectes the
