Hi,
I'm hoping that someone can help me with the technique for re-fitting a piece of trim in the driver footwell (photos attached). It is a small rigid section with a metal kick plate that I managed to dislodge with my foot. The dislodged section has three white posts on it that fit to the black fittings in the wall of the footwell. What I don't know is whether I can re-fit it by sliding the white posts over the black fittings, or whether I have to remove the black fittings, attach them to the white posts and then push the whole section back into place.
Tried in vain so far and now wondering whether I'm attempting the impossible by leaving the black fittings in place. Any advice from someone who has had to refit the same piece greatly appreciated.
