Just coming back on the original discussion - worth remembering that the DS is nearly 0.5 second faster on the 0-60 at 5.2 sec than the ZF full auto. That was only matched with the 4.7 but the handling of the DS 4.2 is probably superior due to weight distribution, dry sump etc.
I've never tried the ZF and should.
However there is something amazing about the transformation in the DS when you get the engine above 4000 and hit those bends. It feels like this huge car literally shrinks around you into a two seater. Astonishing handling under hard driving. Always surprises me and brings a huge grin to my face.
Can anyone who's driven both say that it's same experience in the ZF?
