My 2002 Spyder dashboard clock occasionally 'sticks' in random places, the minute hand vibrating as it tries to move on.

Has anyone else experienced this or has any ideas as to a fix?

I think there is a thread somwhere about it. If its the same as most analogue car clocks the nylon cogs that drives the hands get either clogged or worn. The backlights are prone to failure as well.

Getting the clock out is a bit of a PITA.

If your lucky you can clean and re grease the cogs. You may even be able to move the alignment slightly so the cogs mesh on an unworn point.

I think moz or beue or somebody took theirs out and replaces the backlight with leds so hopefully they have some pictures and a guide to remove the clock.

If i can find the thread i will post a link here for you.

I think you may be right - the previous owner had similar troubles and for such a cheap item it's not worth the buggeration.
