I saw that, yes I'd think optimistic, but then the ropey ones where no faults are mentioned are around the same price. Save a few thousand and buy a sorted one. ( Unless you want a challenge, some people do.)

No oil pressure on idle and reported as historic dashboard failure?
Buyers beware ....

Front and rear brake discs advised on every year since 2012 according to the mot history. It certainly looks like a neglected one, or at the very least, maintained on a very tight budget.

6k sounds about right, the brakes and body work alone will put a lot of pressure on the wallet. I had to do the brakes all round 2 months in and gulped at the cost.

That Brooklands Green is a nice subtle colour, like you say 5 or 6k and you take your chance

I've rang him, it basically needs a full respray.

I'll be going to look at it though if it's there after a week or so.

Not as nice as Mexico Verde Dave ;) but nice nonetheless. I see where people are going with the 5/6k but even a car needing needing that spent on it is worth more than 5/6k IMO. We constantly undervalue these cars compared to Europe.

Everybody wants 15k for their 3200 and early 4200 cars but nobody wants to pay it

A car needing a respray and possibly welding plus brakes, engine work and God knows what else is pretty worthless , possibly even into breaker territory

Your right Greg, nice ones in Europe are going for 35k plus, down in Southern France there deemed very excusive indeed...

If you could find one you'd have to pay big bucks!

Must be RHD that's the problem then

You'd think they'd sell for top money as parts cars if they're that price over there

A very accurate observation Darren. As someone in the market for a 3200 I'm not inclined to pay more for a car in a private sale than I think I could get for it. Would be very happy to pay £15k for a low miles fully sorted 2001 on manual car but you guys have them all and are not selling.

There was more than a sniff of Spring in the air today and I'd have liked to have filled it with the sight and sound of a Maserati!

Sorry Pete, but you won't get a fully sorted RHD low miles late model 3200GT for 15k..low 20's now,and that's if you can find one with provenance! ... ask Dickie

I've turned down a few offers for mine over the years, I'm not selling either ;)

Perhaps Brexit will solve this. The pound will tank, the Europeans will see that RHD UK 32/4200s are mega bargains and they will all be exported, meaning the remaining cars are much, much rarer, and will increase in value.. ;)

That surprises me Dave. I don't recall seeing many for sale or sold privately for that sort of money. When I started looking last October Mr Grace had two vlm examples for c.£18k and a private sale should be less than a car from a renowned specialist with warranty.

I was interested in Tom's car at £10.5k but wanted the comfort of a PPI and couldn't locate a specialist in N Ireland to do it.

Best of luck on finding one Pete, and don't buy cheap either mate as they will cost you a fortune to knock in to shape

8k ish to replace the suspension, 2k for a clutch assembly, that's if you can find one... the list go's on
