3200 Roof Lining into 4200 Roof

Hi All

Just wondering if anyone knows that this is straight forward. I am assuming so as they both share the same roof. I have acquired a really nice grey Alcantara/suede roof lining with matching sun visors which will finish the interior off perfectly.
Has anyone done this before and if so is it straight forward??

I think they should, but I'd carefully measure up both before attempting the transplant. If they do I'd invest in a lot of preparation time and specialist tooling, you can't rush this job. It's got to be a good job.

I'm not that confident to do it myself, I am taking it to Autoshield and will get Mario's team to fit it along with the service and my 'H' pipe. This was when Mario asked me if I knew if it was a straight forward swap, hence me posting the question.
I agree with you, they are the same roofs so you would think it will be the same.

The chasses of the 3200 and 4200 have small differences mainly for manufacturing purposes, but the roof dimensions should be the same.

The only thing that is different is the mounting holes for the sun visors. If I remember correctly the 3200 has offset mounting holes. 4200 are straight.

I noticed that the sun visor mounting brackets are a different design but when I lined up the centres of both screws they appeared to be the same distance apart. If that is the only difference then I think we should be alright.

Thanks for your help and advise!

It depends wether your 3200 roof lining is from a n early or late car!
If late it will fit if early you need the triangular style sun visor support.

Cheers for that, l also luckily sourced a pair of matching sun visors that match the triangular pattern in the roof lining so it sounds like I'm good to go!
