Currently sitting on the Wolverhampton ring road waiting for recovery, it would appear the top heater hose has split, good job I didn’t need it for a week or so. Pics to follow when the recovery driver arrives.

Don't suppose it was the RAC? They have not ever got to me in less than 2-3 hours they are useless.

I am with GEM assist now and not that I have had to use them recently but they take about 40 minutes

No it was the AA who are usually very good, but I suppose as it was the start of a bank holiday that it delayed things.

I have to praise Mark at the Super Car Rooms as I called his Dads mobile and Mark answered and agreed to open up the premises if the driver called him 10 minutes before arrival and would safely store it for me until an engineer could look at it next week, it was delivered at 01:00 in the morning, so I really couldn't ask for better service. Mark called me yesterday and gave me an update as well, so am very pleased with how Mark helped me.

Very nice....great work & good mix there. I know the feeling. We had 3 cars before we moved at the old house. Now we have more space it's up to 10! Enjoy filling the rest of the space

Perhaps we could lobby for QP to be a temporary installation on the spare plinth in Trafalgar square. Pure sculpture if you ask me

All good. Collected the QP from Emblem this morning. New alternator, and spark plugs 'cos it was getting near time to replace them and they had the stuff off to get there anyway. Really pleased that they managed take the car in and fix it for me.

Last time I had a new alternator was on a Triumph Dolomite, fitted by the AA from their bucket of spares at midnight in the pouring rain. Alternator must have been peanuts and the fitting was free. At least it was dry this time...:broke:
