3200 Assetto Corsa # 22 on Gumtree?

In June 2010 22/75 was offered by Copart as a rather sad CAT C, and later that year it was listed on eBay as a repaired CAT D though not in its present form.

With 62k on the clock you could soon be looking at Timing Chain replacement, there's no mention of the red key, and no mention of a comprehensive service history in the ad.

Not a £20k car imho, even with the listed expenditure, and very much a case of 'caveat emptor'.

Very dodgy if it is genuinly a cat car i'd say. It does annoy me when someone bangs on about how much was spent fitting a body kit to any car. Its personal choice but I dont see how it adds any value!

What a sad end to an AC's life. Saw this car in Modena and colour is nice but that's about all that can be said for it.

Looks like a lemon being passed on

I think that is maybe a little unfair.
Yes it was (and always will be) a CAT listed car, that was used as a 'project' to create an owners vision of his perfect Maserati.
It will have cost him dear, repairing the frontal damage, fitting the kit, painting, and now selling, he will never recover the cost.
Also the problem his vision, will not be others.
It most likely however could be a perfectly reliable, properly repaired car. Maybe even better than factory.
Even though, if the 'vision' does fit with yours, it will require a dam good going over with a specialist all the same before parting with the cash!

I think that's me in the Ferrari museum shot, I remember having a good look at this car, maybe even talking to Christophe. What struck me was the bodykit and it being a RHD yet owned by a continental type. Come to think of it, he told me that it was a Cat C and he'd dine a lot of work to it.

The problem is that it is no longer an Assetto Corsa in the true sense. Even with a high integrity repair it will have limited value, and then only to someone with similar taste in styling. When you factor in its history it looks seriously over-valued imho.

It could have the makings of a decent track car though.

Maybe, but the listing should say it's a previously written off car when asking for that kind of money.
A lot of time and money was put in the car but seems not enough was left to fix little things like the chromed surrounds on the vents which you would expect to be pristine for this kind of cash

I'm here with Mike on this one...Ok it was only a small Cat C front corner knock but very nicely rebuilt and maybe better than when it came out the factory...
And with all that money spent, what's not to like!

I've no doubt the repair was a good one but it's the customisation which is such a personal thing. You generally want to put your own stamp on a car which this one has clearly already had. I can't see it being a quick sale

Plus, asseto corsas sell at a premium due to the potential colector status and the fact that many are low mileage and original which is not the case of this one.

On the other hand, changing bumpers to the originals is not too expensive or time consuming.

Is it normal in the UK a respray to cost 10k as advertised in this car?

It is when they use Ferrari paint!

Pardon my ignorance on the subject but is there anything special on the Ferrari paint other than the logo on the tin?
I always tought car makers used standard paint mixtures and with the paint code any paint can be replicated at a paint shop
