For Sale – 2005/55 Maserati Gransport aka The Silver Surfer.
I've decided that it's the right time to move my amazing car onto a new custodian. It's not been an easy decision for me but given the fact that I've decided to buy an MC Stradale, the GS will have to go to help fund that. Life's tough….
Those of you who are senior members here will know my car well. It's one of the best known Gransport's in the UK. It was previous owned by a founding forum member, Loz, who brought the car back to rude health after a light accident rendered it as Cat D. The accident and repair happened way back in 2009 and the car is 100% in every way.
The current status is “Inspected†and of course, I have comprehensive photographic and paper invoice evidence of the damage and repair. It's really quite pathetic and should never have received a category however the owner had an insurance policy supplied when bought with the main dealer that paid out £35,000 in the event of a loss. I suspect that this influenced the decision as the repair cost was nothing like the value at the time of the accident.
Anyway, what it means is that this car represents something of a bargain when compared to others. If you can see past the category and understand the real value, it's probably the best priced car of its type in the UK.
Many of you will also know that it's not entirely standard and has undergone a series of subtle mods to add to its very high factory specification. I'll list these out and you will be able to see just how much car you could get here.
Before anyone asks, I know that I can split certain parts and achieve higher value but I won't unless it doesn't sell. Which I seriously doubt!

Summary
A super specified car from the factory with full leather, xenons , cruise etc that has had fortunes lavished on both its upkeep and a range of subtle upgrades so now it sounds incredible and stops on the button. It's a total bargain for somebody that's in the know.
£20,000.
(I think it's a £25-27k car without the category given the history, specification and extras). Yes you can find a non Category car for £20k but not as good as this one and certainly not with the upgrades.
Happy to supply photographs of the damage/repair and service invoices etc on request. I have a lot of paperwork so I hope your email can handle several Gb !
Offering it to members first as I really hope it can stay within the community. It's too good for somebody who won't respect and look after it.
I have many of the original parts such as the silver rear spoiler, red calipers, paddles etc. I'm also happy to throw in the genuine Maserati indoor cover if required.
