3200 AC for sale

My 3200 AC manual is again up for sale. I advertised it a couple of years back and ended up keeping it but a serious passion for diving and the associated need to move large amounts of kit around has resulted in me buying a VW Touareg and the 3200 really doesn't get used that much now. The last significant trip in it was to the Schlumpf museum on the French / Swiss border and entailed almost 14 hours of driving at medium to high speed, the car performed faultlessly.

2002 / 02 reg AC 9/75
Rosso Mondial / Black
100197 miles
Mot until 7th March 2016
New (full) engine at 56k miles
Full service history
New battery
Last service 7th March at Giallo (handbrake shoes replaced, rollbar bushes replaced, aircon re gas, recon starter and knock sensors)
Endfloat measured by Emblem last year at 0.18mm and again by Giallo on the 7th March this year at 0.18mm

I have owned this car since 2005 and done 90,000 miles in it, over this time it has had almost £45,000 spent on it (the last service and associated work was £2300)

I recently replaced the instrument dimmer potentiometer, the front windscreen scuttle panel (this one sits on the screen as it should), interior switches and Maserati grill badge with new items from Euro spares.

The list of what has been replaced during my ownership is huge and too long to list on here but the important items are Electronic throttle body, Wishbones (front and rear), stainless back boxes, radiator, accelerometer and clutch (a brand new Maserati clutch kit will also be included in the sale).

A significant amount of work on the body has been carried out by Fullbridge restorations the most recent of which was the rear wheel arches stripped back to bare metal and repainted.

Bad points
The lacquer on one door mirror is lifting and two of the wheels are slightly scuffed, other than this the body is in excellent condition

£10,500 (plate not included, original reg. LV 02 OAC)

The car is in Essex near Junction 31 of the M25

That's in lovely condition and a new full engine, so the plant has only done what about 45K..?? That's a good price to sell an AC, it should fly off the shelf..!! Best of Luck with the sale Vulcan..!!
I'm a licensed diver too, if I had to I would get a van for the big bag and tanks etc..??

Isn't 0.15mm of endfloat considered the point at which the engine needs to be open to replace the bearings?

According to Emblem and Giallo this reading is where it should be. The manufacturers tolerance is 0.006 - 0.008" which equates to 0.12 - 0.20mm.

Where is the old engine?..In my living room maybe?

It is so strange that even 4200 owners, who hate red on their cars, like the red for a 3200. I am one of them.

Good luck with the sale.

I love red on all Maser's including the 4200! For me it will always remain one of the best colours for these cars :).

People and tastes are different. Otherwise it could be boring!
I don't like red on 4200, although i was close to buy one. Thank god i didn't..

Good luck with the sale, I remember it being for sale when I bought mine and I was very tempted but really wanted black. However, it looks excellent and some is going to be a very good car for very little money.

Two ACs for sale at the same time, what are the chances?
